Hopefully they take that Joel Anthony and 76ers 1st round pick. Thoughts?

In an organized system in Boston, the kid has actually not been bad, but that's exactly why I won't see it happen. He's not that old and what could we offer that'd be of interest for Boston? Besides, I don't think Crawford wants to leave this situation either.

It only makes sense to send our Philly pick if Jordan Crawford is our long term plans.

Can he replace Allen when Ray retires (Next year?)?
Can he replace Rio if Rio asks for too much $?

If not, just keep the Philly pick and hope to draft well.

I could see the benefits to having that sort of talent coming off the bench, but there's something singular about Crawford's style of play that makes me question whether or not he would be a fit with this team's current makeup. Without being too much of an armchair GM, if Riley is genuinely interested in Crawford, I'll roll with it as he sees something none of us do.

At the same time, given that neither Woj nor local writers are the ones speaking on this, I doubt it has much weight. Something like this is bound to come out after another "report" that says Miami is seeking backcourt help. Perhaps this is speculation manifested in the form of an article. Unless a deal is imminent, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Since I like videos, here's J-Craw himself:

I agree. i think this is smoke without a fire. But the guy can play. He is a scorer, not a pure one but an avarage one. can create his own shot and has nice atleticism.

I'd love this pickup. Crawford is a microwave scorer and putting him in a system like the one the heat run could be great for him like Beasley. I think Chalmers is a goner next season I can see Crawford being a replacement combo guard coming off the bench as cole takes the reigns as starter

Crawford has been extremely impressive this year. I would love him on this team. I mean, his stats will probably dip a little but he'd be a great "microwave" type guy.

For this year we're probably not going to shake the boat, but next year? what's funny about it? It's not like Rio is in some rare talent level above Crawford. Rio wouldn't start for any other NBA team unless a team loses their first PG.

That might actually be the reason he stays here for his next contract, I doubt any team is going to throw big money for a backup PG, and no team wants Rio as their starting PG.

Philly pick will almost surely turn into two second rounders. Is that enough for Ainge? I don't think he wants any Salary coming back because the Cs are trying to stay under the tax. So you need more Salary coming from the Cs and probably a future first rather than the protected Philly pick.
Lee and Crawford for Anthony, Lewis, Oden or a similar combination of Salaries as long as most expiring and the Heats next available pick (probably 2017)
Otherwise I don't see Ainge returning the call.

My friend and I counted:Knicks, Bucks, Kings & Rockets as the teams Chalmers could start for as constructed. The Rockets was the least likely.

If we acquiring Crawford, he would be our third string shooting guard. We are not going to give much for him, and we shouldn't. Please get out of your mind that the rumor about Crawford is any more than that.

Knicks/Felton
Boston/Bradley
Raptors/Lowry (possible)
Bucks/Knight
Rockets/Beverly
Lakers/Blake (maybe)
Jazz/Burke

His stats don't look that good cause he's a 6th option with the Heat.

Knicks/Felton

Bucks/Knight
Rockets/Beverly
Lakers/Blake (maybe)

Knicks/Felton - Maybe.
Boston/Bradley - He's not a real PG and they're tanking. Rondo is their starting PG and injured.
Raptors/Lowry (possible) - laughable.
Bucks/Knight - He's 22 YO, but right now probably yes. He's also starting for the worst team in the NBA.
Rockets/Beverly - No. Plus Lin would also start in front of him. Double No.
Lakers/Blake (maybe) - He's not their starting PG. Nash is injured so pointless mention.
Jazz/Burke - Rookie with upside, No.

So Bucks are the only team he could probably start for. congrats.

Lol. We are not tanking. Oh and rondo is cleared and back doing full practices. We will see him soon. And crawford is very good and i doubt we'd trade him to miami when hes playing so well and is a good locker room presence. Hes not scared to take big shots he fights hard and hes a winner. See you soon.

Who cares how good the team is ?
Your point was about starting.
I got Knicks, Bucks, Lakers - Nash is their starting PG the same way Jordan is the Bulls starting SG. Nash is DONE. He's all but retired.

I think you (and many others) underestimate Chalmers.
