Joel Anthony? Why hasn't anyone trade for this guy! He does all the things that don't show up in the stat sheet!

I'm so tired of our commentators talking about Battier's and Joel's "intangibles" and doing what doesn't show up on the stat sheet. SMH, those things are supposed to supplement your game, not the only thing you can bring. At some point you have to produce.

Tony F. tried for years to sell us Joel Anthony as an actually NBA basketball player. Every time, he dropped the ball, they would talk about some kind of Crazy Andy deal while every time Joel caught the ball or for those rare moments when Joel caught the ball and made a layup they would remind us of how hard he works on his game. I personally was shocked last week when Joel came in the game and grabbed a rebound that Tony didn't say "The pro's, pro's Joel Anthony, always ready. Eric, Joel Anthony still working hard on his game and it shows the depth that Joel is on the bench"..... No Tony, Joel is on the bench because he can't catch, he can't rebound, he can't shoot, he can't box out, he can't move without the ball, he is undersized and only does one thing right and thats shot block. Every time, Birdman checks in, I remind my self of how lucky we are to have an NBA center, playing NBA center minutes. Joel, I've met you a few times, great guy but please, stay on the bench! EndRant/

Cleared for contact after being sidelined for 2 ½ weeks with a strained hamstring, Michael Beasley participated in the Heat’s practice on Sunday.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra would like Beasley to play against the Hawks on Monday before flying to Los Angeles, but the team’s training staff will evaluate Beasley one final time before signing off on the small forward. Beasley last played on Dec.5 against the Bulls. He has missed seven consecutive games.

“You never know what the right plan is, but we all were on board with the plan that our training staff and medical staff had for Michael,” Spoelstra said. “He was anxious to come back over a week ago, but there are a series of tests and progressions to make sure his hamstring was getting stronger and healthy.”

If not treated properly, hamstring injuries can linger throughout an entire season and lead to other injuries. To avoid complications, the Heat’s training staff has been overly cautious with Beasley’s health.

“He has been going more full speed on the court, not full contact, the last five or six days and [Sunday] was his first full-contact practice and I was encouraged,” Spoelstra said. “We’ll have to see how he feels and responds [Monday].”

None of us here would be crying for Joel "4 heads" Anthony to get traded if he never had gotten that contract given by Mr. Riley.
