Watching the new Jalen Rose podcast that released today and Jalen was mentioning that the Heat might "change up the guard dynamic" later mentioning Chalmers or Cole possibly getting traded away.
He also mentions "one more domino has to fall and Greg Oden has to hold up"... So who could this player be? A guard? A point guard possibly?

I really hope Cole doesn't get traded. This kid is just going to get better.

"Hibbert is the same player regardless whose guarding him"
Except he averages 25/19 against the Heat and 12/8 against everyone else. Dumbest thing Jalen has said in a while. And that host is annoying as **** btw.

If it means getting a center I am all for it.

Obviously we need to get younger on the perimeter, but not at the cost of Chalmers or Cole.

I hope it's true, but only Chalmers. I can't stand him. And he isn't gonna get any better.
Would like to keep cole though, he continues to improve and brings the energy from the bench.

I'd expect if we were going to do something it would have been a Chalmers/Anthony/picks package. That would have allowed us to take back almost $10m in contracts - the we're looking at real potential impact players on this team. Now we're looking at $5m contracts that could be traded straight-up for Chalmers ...

He also said how something has to happen to another team... who the **** is he talking about?
The thing is, the Heat have been trying to get rid of Joel for awhile. In 2011 he was our best Center, that really says something by the way of how horrible our center rotation was. In 2012 we used his sparingly, I actually don't remember, but once Birdman came in, we had absolutely no use for Joel.
But Jalen is making a hypothesis because we got rid of Joel, when Pat has been trying to get rid of him because his contract sucks. We had to get rid of Miller because of his contract and we barely used the guy (would come in handy though, but so injury prone, but man was he a great shooter to rely on), but no one said anything about other moves. If anything the Heat have been trying to get rid of Miller and Joel, either via trade or amnesty, and so far it has worked out. There's no one else on our team that's is eating up anything imo. One can question the Big 3's contracts, but this is more about role players.
I've heard of Cole in trade rumors, but there is just no substance. I can see us getting rid of Rio if he wanted more money, and another team would gladly throw money at Rio to break up our chemistry and he has some value. Cole's value is REALLY good actually, but trades to both of these guys would mess up our team... these guys are really tight.
The thing is, this is the least of our problems... our PG's aren't the problem at all. Our TEAM DEFENSE SUCKS.
Btw Jalen Rose also said how MJ is going to come back into the NBA to play one game... I take what he has been saying with a grain of salt, lol.

Quoted for greatness. Jalen is my boy but he is more clueless than Rachel Blanchard.

I think he's just looking at the four pgs on the roster and assuming we're going to trade one, and not just y'know...cut one of the backups and sign Bynum.
But if we don't sign Bynum, then it's certainly possible one of them moves. I would assume Cole has the highest value to other teams.
It seems like Riley is hellbent on trying to get a young 3 and D guy for the wing, so I would assume that's what he'd be looking at.
It's pretty clear that Riley is building this team right now not just for this year, but as something he can sell the big three in the summer as something with a long term future. He's lining up younger replacements to all of his old guys on the way out.

when it came out that Jalen Rose is practically a walking drunk, that made you see things differently about his opinions on the NBA.

I think jalen rose is pretty good with his inside sources. Didn't he call the Harden to HOU trade before anyone else?

Chalmers has no value. He's an expiring contract and not that good of a player, period.

Disagree. I think he has decent value. Above average on D, can shoot the 3, vet, has had some big games in the playoffs.

He has little to no value right now. It's because of his contract. Why would you trade for half a season of a decent player? Better yet, who would give up anything for half a season of Chalmers.
