They are 11-3 when he doesn't play at all.
Rough stats on shots per minute of floor time have Beasley. tied with D Wade for the most at one shot every 2.2 minutes.
LeBron is 2.3, CB is 2.5, Ray is 3.2, Norris is 3.7, and Mario is 4.0.
M.B.'s +/- number is very low relative to the rest of the team. And his body language is often "the victim".
The last point is a mere opinion - the things before it are facts.
We need less of Beasley, we need more defense. As hard as it is to handle, we need to play Shane Battier in Beasleys spot more often - so many games he starts both halves and then is nowhere to be found.
im a huge beasley fan but you are right. his defense is inferior to shanes in many aspects and his scoring output besides a couple of games has not justified his playing time over shane. however looking at the advanced stats we rebound better when he is on the court. even though he only grabs about 5 boards a game its apparent to the eye how besasley crashes the boards out there.
also looking at the stats beasley should definitely play over rashard but i dont think well see that till later in the season
i reference this website
http://www.82games.com/1314/13MIA9.HTM#onoffits pretty good for the advanced stuff and makes some surprising observations
our defense per 100 possessions is 9 pts better with lebron off the court and our starting lineup equates to a .500 record.
again all these stats are highly contextual
