Your Miami Heat (27-11):Norris Cole

Dwyane Wade

LeBron James

Shane Battier

Chris Bosh
vsPhiladelphia 76ers (13-25):Michael Carter-Williams

James Anderson

Evan Turner

Thaddeus Young

Spencer Hawes
Key to victory:- Rebound the ball and don't play lazy defense. Then it "should" be an easy win.
Injuries:-
Heat: Mario Chalmers (Achilles), Chris Andersen (knee) and Greg Oden (knee) are questionable.
-
76ers: Lavoy Allen (calf) is day-to-day and Arnette Moultrie (ankle) and Nerlens Noel (knee) are out.
Good Luck Charm (Jennifer Nicole Lee):

Nice work on the good luck charm.
There are many reasons for us to come out strong. We just lost three in a row playing poor basketball, the Big Three have been highly inconsistent during those games and Philly beat us early in the season. My expectation would be to have the Big Three (mainly Wade after his 8 point stinker) lead the way in a tough game that we'll win by about 10-12 at the end. Let's face it, it won't be a blowout, but a good performance with decent basketball is what I expect.
Now what's really gonna happen, I don't know. In past years one could be sure of us bouncing back strong at a point like this, but we're even more complacent this year than ever before.

I think we'll try harder today. Which should be enough for a win, unless they get hot and we can't hit shots.

Oh wonderful, another pesky team...
They need to our flying out the gates, and not letting the other team get into a rhythm.

This team with it's coasting, this clueless coach with his terrible rotations.....has me to the point that I'm about to not give a crap til playoffs.
Hopefully Oden logs in 10-12 minutes or so, but I doubt it.

The Heat are 8-8 in games Beasley plays significant minutes.
They are 11-3 when he doesn't play at all.
Rough stats on shots per minute of floor time have Beasley. tied with D Wade for the most at one shot every 2.2 minutes.
LeBron is 2.3, CB is 2.5, Ray is 3.2, Norris is 3.7, and Mario is 4.0.
M.B.'s +/- number is very low relative to the rest of the team. And his body language is often "the victim".
The last point is a mere opinion - the things before it are facts.
We need less of Beasley, we need more defense. As hard as it is to handle, we need to play Shane Battier in Beasleys spot more often - so many games he starts both halves and then is nowhere to be found.

im a huge beasley fan but you are right. his defense is inferior to shanes in many aspects and his scoring output besides a couple of games has not justified his playing time over shane. however looking at the advanced stats we rebound better when he is on the court. even though he only grabs about 5 boards a game its apparent to the eye how besasley crashes the boards out there.
also looking at the stats beasley should definitely play over rashard but i dont think well see that till later in the season
i reference this website
http://www.82games.com/1314/13MIA9.HTM#onoffits pretty good for the advanced stuff and makes some surprising observations
our defense per 100 possessions is 9 pts better with lebron off the court and our starting lineup equates to a .500 record.
again all these stats are highly contextual
