Why not use JJ in the rotation?

Let's give this dude a chance, before he putrefies at the bench. I mean he will not create any kind of magic of course but he is no different than Lewis, Haslem and Mason. If he can find his shooting touch, he may contribute a little. Just let him go for 10 minutes per game for 3-4 games. If his touch is not there, bench him forever. He is not a total scrub, so he deserves a chance.

You want to put yet another scrub in the rotation before Beasley lol. I think my head would explode if I saw this.

No of course Beasley, Andersen and Allen should be top 3 players coming from the bench. No question about that. But when Wade is dnp, and Ray starts for him, he can be used. At least better than Mason

I trust this dude 10 times out of 10 over scrub **** Roger Mason. JJ once belonged in our closing line-ups. (Ex. That Celtics Game 5 where he came up huge)

JJ is probably the worst defender on the roster. Worse then even Mason. He can't do nothing, absolutely nothing but shoot open 3's.
Playing him on a team that has a ton of offensive weapons but can't defend anything is....

JJ shooting 3's compared to Mason who can do nothing. Personally, I'd take JJ over Mase as much as I'd prefer neither. At least JJ can space the floor. Mase they don't have to worry about.

It's not like our defense could get any worse, so why not?

Because he doesn't need a tryout like Mason.

don't care about JJ's defense in limited minutes, he got burn in 2011 and played well for us. I'll take the points all day every day

i could see JJ playing the last 2 minutes of a close game.
There are always some timeouts so you could sub him and vice versa
Offense : Wade, Ray Allen, James Jomes, LeBron and Bosh
Defense : Cole / Rio (depends on the matchup), Wade, LeBron, Battier/Bosh, Greg Oden / Bosh
Then if i am the opponent coach, i will never ask for a timeout and i will expose JJ and Ray by putting a 2 vs 2 while the others in the opposite side
Conclusion : JJ will play this year like he did last year for the garbage time when all the position in the East and West are set !

I really believe we already tried the JJ experiment earlier in the season, mainly during preseason. Remember when he was getting all of that playing time over guys like Eric Griffin and some of the others? Yeah, I believe Spo tried him at every position except point guard and center. The thing is, he was pretty effective for us before LeBron showed up and we suddenly had a glut of forwards.
JJ can provide shooting and length. Not the best defender or ballhandler, but he's always shown himself to be ready whenever we called him. Why he's not playing is a guess that is arguably as good as mine if anyone here has one. Perhaps the staff figured they'd go in a different direction while keeping that weapon in the holster. Offense hasn't been our problem this year, defense has.

Mason is awful. I can understand not playing JJ, but giving as many minutes to mason as we do is a head scratcher. He failed his tryout weeks ago.

Wouldn't be opposed to seeing a little JJ. He's very streaky, so I'd put him in, and if he hits his first few shots, keep him in.

Agree on this - what's to lose from giving him 4-5min at the start - he stays ready
