OT: Coming to the 305

Post#1 » by letsgoheat » Fri Jan 24, 2014 7:43 am

Hey everyone. I've been a long time heat fan since I was in elementary school and I'm finally getting a chance to come to Miami next month from SoCal. I'll be around the FIU area for an interview but I'll have one free day and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on what I should check out in Miami. I won't have a car so that will be a problem as well. While I'll be seeing the heat play the clippers next month, with my luck when I'll be in Miami the Heat will still be on their west coast roadie so I won't be able to watch a home game :(. Anyways, any suggestion from you all will be greatly appreciated!

Well if you're coming to Miami, id advise going to the croc farm, go to south beach of course, if you have time go to a heat game, check out lil Havana, check out Ocean Drive.

Lucky for you next month carnival has their annual beauty contests, parties.. You can check them out as well.

There's obviously a lot more and depends on what you're looking for.

Be aware in Miami, traffic is a b*** especially with all our toll roads. It can be confusing to a first time visitor. If you're renting a car, take the sun pass!!

I go to Fiu. Its a very nice school, the area around it isn't too nice though (sweetwater). So if I was you. Get done with the interview and hit up bayside

Thanks a lot for the suggestions guys. I think I'll end up checking out south beach, bayside, little havana, and ocean drive on my free day there, hopefully I can find access to public transportation. This might be a dumb question but is the heat store at the arena open on days there aren't any heat games? Altered_Beast, are you an undergrad at FIU?

LoL I hear that. Thankfully 8th ST separates sweetwater from the rest of civilization.

I live in Broward so there is nothing to do here, lol. But Dade is where it's at.
