What teams do you want to face in each round

Post#1 » by RSCD3_ » Tue Mar 11, 2014 6:01 pm

The 8th seed is currently held by atlanta who is in a freefall along with the knicks trying to make the playoffs with the cavs and pistons both unsure wildcards.

If we dont get the first seed we will most likely face charlotte.

Then in the second round will face one of washington chicago brooklyn or toronto depending on 3/4/5/6 seedings.

For whatever reason be it a strategical matchup or personal vendetta who would you like us to face in the first two rounds.

Mine would be

Atlanta
Washington

Edit: Expanded discussion for all rounds of the playoffs.

In that case
Indiana
Oklahoma City

AS LONG as its not the Nets either round. Pacers getting ousted before they meet us would also be great

id like charlotte - bulls - pacers

3 great defensive teams that will prepare the heat if they do make it to the finals again. you dont want a cakewalk like last season i think that is why the pacers were so tough. milwaukee and bulls were too easy of a matchup they threw us off our game

I like this sentiment but will go with Atlanta, easy first round to keep us fresh and play Oden, then Bulls and Pacers. If we make the Finals our offense would feel like the chains have been taken off.

The real hard one for me is the Finals, if we make it. Really not sure which matchup I like most for us :

OKC has Durant, the biggest game changer out there.
Spurs have the coaching, IQ and experience.
Clippres have the big front line, rebounding and Doc
Rockets have Dwight, Asik and Harden's FT.

Still Not sure which of them I'd like to meet.

OKC. We have a better game changer and they don't have low post scoring.

Charlotte
Washington
Pacers
OKC

face Big Al, to get Oden ready for Hibbert, First 2 round we would have no more than 5 games, before the battle with Indiana. Get past them and then face OKC, whom have a heap of role players who haven't made a playoff run before.

1st round - Cha/Atl
2nd round - Tor/Wiz
ECF - Ind/Chi/Bkn
Finals - Okc

This years Finals are still in the 2-3-2 format?

i still have nightmares about the spurs so i would not want to see a rematch. i think the funnest finals series to watch as a fan will be vs houston or clippers. i like our chances against those two teams just as much as vs OKC but im just tired of the lebron vs durant narrative

and harden is one of my fav players outside of the heat

Teams that used to toy on the little teams in the 80s,90s, 00s, and are now a joke of a franchise

Therefore Boston, bulls, pacers,

Those look better on the Heatles resume

Plus Ain't nothing better than doing it three times to a team, triple, tres veces eliminated by the Heatles

And all those teams are in the running for that accomplishment of being Heatles bitches
Stop being so disrespectful.

Don't really care about first round... but I definitely want us to face Chicago and the Pacers.

I am editing the title to include all rounds because a lot of people are already discussing it.

This. In the finals I don't want the clippers. I see a matchup problem there with Griffin and Jordan. We can't play small against them because Blake has improved and Jordan is a terrific rebounder but we can't play big either because they just jump over us because of their athleticism and Chris Paul is gunna make Rio and Cole look stupid. I would prefer Houston or OKC

I don't know about everyone else, but I'd be scared to death to meet up with the Spurs again in the finals.
