LeBron's "post Beast Mode" slump

Houston 22 points ( 0 in the 4th)
San Antonio 19 points ( 2 points in the 4th)
Chicago 19 points (4 points in the 4th.....0 in Overtime) (shot bad 8-23)
Washingoton 21 points (2 points in the 4th) (shot well though)
Brooklyn 19 points (2 points in the 4th) (ZERO shots in the 4th)
5 games is long enough to call it a slump. Yea he shot well against the Wizards, but 1....its the Wizards and 2....DWADE still had to carry us in the 4th.
Either he needs rest....or get p'od again. Either way....he's picked a bad time to have a slump.

He has been terrible that is no secret he needs to be shut down for rest or pick up his game because he's clearly not interested right now.

I don't think it's a case of him being not interested. IMO he has hit a wall energy wise and seems to be hit by the 4 Finals in a Row wall that everyone was talking about. I think they need a maintenance program for him rest of the way. Every single game since the 61 point game he has looked lethargic. He looks tired. Let's rest our Ironman and Superman, Spo.

It sucks because I thought he would elevate his game after that 61 and then beat KD in the MVP race to get into full steam come playoffs. But I guess not...

When you are tired and you can,t attack the basket and can't post up, then you can use your jumper, but this year his jumper is broken and inconsiste

He's not shooting the ball well. He's not going after rebounds like he has done in previous seasons and he's back to being the same clumsy passer he was when the season started. Bottom line, just because he's shooting poorly from outside, but that shouldn't excuse his lazy body language. You can see it all over his face.

They have a breeze through schedule coming up, hard to see them losing any lead

It's kind of ironic that I've always said that Wade's laziness has rubbed off on LeBron throughout the years, but it's been Wade who has showed up and tried to carried this team in the last few games since LeBron's 61 points game.

why shouldn't wade? wade is a star too. Lebron's slump isn't laziness, its a slump

He'll be fine. Regular season is over. All I want see from him the rest of the way is for him to get reacquainted with his spots and move more quickly in the post. LeBron's post game is good but unrefined like a Zack Randolph. When he has 3-5 seconds to back down he's effective, but when teams constantly feign the double team he backs out because he can't shoot out of it, causing a turnover or a ill-advised shot from a role player. All I want to see his aggressiveness the rest if the way.
LeBron over the summer has to work on shooting over the top of defenders.

The man has been holding this team down in the RS going on 3 years straight. You will get the standard LeBron effort come the playoffs.

Indeed.
And this is the thing...
The lack of rebounding, increased turnovers, no improvement in free throw shooting have been apparent all year.
Its just he shot so well in the month of February.....its kind of easy to gloss over it. There is no reason for LeBron to NOT average 8 boards a game on this team.
But....most are right...the 3 straight finals trips (Olympics as well) has started to wear on him.
The truth? No one wants to hear that excuse. At least non Heat fans. Heck, LeBron played more mins than anyone over a calender year to win a championship last season.
At the end of the day....People wont give him a pass.....partly because of the 2011 Mavs series. LeBron was GASSED during that series (And Spo continued to run him into the ground)
So in essence...we need to start the LeBron rest period VERY SOON. Cause a tired LeBron = No championship.

It's funny. Before the championships, LeBron used to dominate the regular season like no one else, but people brushed that off because he hadn't won yet. 'He's only gonna be judged in the playoffs'. Now, everyone wants to jump to overreactions in the regular season since he's dominating the post season.

As I sad in the previous post...
LeBron won the championship playing more mins than anyone has in history over a year's time.
With that said...
Last year's LeBron in the playoffs was very different than the one we saw the year before. You could make the case LeBron coasted the 1st two rounds vs. the Bucks/Bulls. His stats show it. He brought it against Indiana, no doubt. However, by the time he faced the Spurs...it took him about 4 games to be "LeBron".
We BARELY won the championship last year. Now is the time to rest LeBron....so we dont get tired LeBron in the playoffs.

Good post. He also needs to work on the hook shot he like to shoot, it's very flat. It seems like he jumps very low when he try to make a layup or throw a hook shot over a defender, it's very strange for a guy who can dunk as high as him.

Pointless thread to be honest. Let's judge LeBron off his postseason performance, not regular season
