*Hopefully this thread stays for a while, possibly a sticky?

2014-15 Miami Heat Roster:
1)2014 1st round pick(Hairston, Young, Cauley-Stein, Payne, or Patric)
2)James Ennis
3)LeBron James
4)Dwyane Wade
5)Chris Bosh
6)Carmelo Anthony
7)Norris Cole
8)Chris Anderson
9)Greg Oden
10)Michael Beasley
11)Anthony Morrow/Ray Allen
12)Mario Chalmers
13)Ariza/Hawes/Marvin/Rush/Varejao
14)Eric Griffin
15)Kris Humphries
*Assuming Shane & UD retire
The NBA Salary Cap is projected to be $62.1 million. With the anticipated 2014 Free Agency approaching in less than four months, we can think of ideas to reinvent this team to keep the Heat as championship contenders for the next 7-10 years. Hopefully, we hear the words "the Miami Heat will have another parade down Biscayne Blvd" again to kick off the offseason. Then, there's the deep NBA Draft. We need an athletic wing or a big man from this draft. According to NBADraft.net, we have the 27th pick in the Draft and based on the mock draft we could select guys like P.J. Hairston, James Young, Willie Cauley-Stein, Patric Young, and Adreian Payne.

Assuming everyone opts out except for Birdman and we already have Cole on the books, the front office as well as the Big 3 have to reach an agreement to start off to $13 million to lure away Carmelo Anthony from the Knicks, Bulls, Rockets, Lakers, Warriors, Clippers, Warriors, Suns, and anybody else who could get him by selling him on the Big 3 and more importantly winning championships. We should let other free agents sign first because we can go over the salary cap to resign our guys. Knowing coach Spo LOVES to use his players in many different ways, we should go after players that are multi-positional such as Spencer Hawes, Trevor Ariza, Marvin Williams, Channing Frye, Brandon Rush, and Anthony Morrow and convince them to take pay cuts for an opportunity at an NBA championship in 2015. We get Oden and Beasley to come back for veteran minimum type deals just like Birdman and add player options on them and bring over James Ennis. I think we can convince some guys to take some of the MLE along with Anderson Varejao and Kris Humphries.

We'll revisit this when it's closer to free agency.
