Any word on who's in an who's out?

Really hope LBJ and Wade sit out.

Good luck tonight. Don't sleep on my Pistons, you guys might get dubbed if our interim coach actually plays good rotations for once. 8-)

Really would like Wade and LBJ to sit out. If they play, I doubt that they'll be invested in this game which means trailing the whole game and Spo playing James for 42 minutes.

Ray is out and Wade is questionable. Whatever.

Pretty sure Wade is going to sit. No sense of him playing this game or the next. He should come back for the home stands.

Good to see that Allen is out. He needs the rest. I hope LeBron and Wade are given rest against Detroit and the Bucks tomorrow.

Ray's out because of the flu, that's a bad thing. That'll sap his energy a lot more than playing a game against the Pistons would.

I'm hoping Spo sits Lebron for the next two games - the 1 seed is out of the question now, and Lebron's already looked fatigued at times lately. He's played 40 MPG in March.

Any news on Wade's injury last game?

I know he's out because of the flu but unless it's a really bad flu he's probably okay by now and resting. Yeah, LeBron really needs to be rested or we risk him running out of gas in the playoffs.

Wade is a game-time decision apparently. I doubt he plays though.

Erik Spoelstra laments lack of clarity over flagrant rulings

Rather than dismiss Wednesday night's loss to the Indiana Pacers as merely one that got away, Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra revealed Friday that he schooled his team Thursday on mistakes that cannot be repeated.

"We had a film session as a teaching session for what we could have done better," he said.

Teaching points, however, were hard to come by when it came to a pair of flagrant fouls against LeBron James that were downgraded by video review in that loss to common fouls, as well as the Flagrant 1 foul against James that was upheld during that game by video review and later confirmed by the NBA office.

"In terms of the calls," Spoelstra said before Friday night's game against the Detroit Pistons, "I don't think anybody has a clear understanding of the rules, of what 'verticality' is, of what a flagrant foul is or is not. Sometimes it depends on the size of the player, of whether it is deemed unnecessary contact or unnatural contact.

"But, at the end of the day, LeBron is going to continue and the rest of our guys are going to continue to attack, so they'll continue to make it an interesting subject for people to have to decide whether that's a foul or not a foul or a flagrant or not a flagrant."

What Spoelstra said was important was to move on.

"At this point, it's not even frustration," he said. "We don't need anybody to protect us or help us on our journey. If we get this thing done, it's because of our play, not because of a call. So, either way, we'll adjust, if necessary.

"The interpretation of it is always subjective. So, at the end of the day, if you're caught up with that, then you're focusing on the wrong thing. Because those calls could be debated from dawn 'til dusk."

Spoelstra said he expects James to continue to make referees deal with such delineations.

"LeBron's going to make you have to decide," he said. "He's going to continue to attack. So there'll continue to be those discussions. But that does not affect us winning or losing."

The exact response I would expect from a coach with a vagina.

End result: common foul.
