heard this via team personnel during the NY game (re Wade)
Hey yall. I am an insider for the Knicks forum and I was at the Heat game yesterday (I sat next to Allan Houston and Steve Mills, right by Rick Ross) and there was a person from the Heat bench walked up to a female and her daughter sitting next to me and spoke with them briefly…apparently they were family from the guy going to the game and they were using his tickets. Anyway, the guy was a young, tall white guy that was maybe a physician or something, and the younger girl, who was apparently a huge Wade fan, asked him about Wade and why he wasn’t playing today. Basically the guy told her that he’s hurt, but then the older woman asked him how badly, and he whispered to her (to which I heard 90% of) saying the following (I will put in quotations the direct quotes from the guy):
“Basically, he has a bad leg from top to bottom…he most likely won’t play Tuesday either…..have to get him ready for playoffs, but he’s on borrowed time with that leg” then he whispered something else and it sounded like “he’s done” (I know it wasn’t "he’s dumb" lol) or leg is numb or something like that, but the lady responded by saying “Oh my!” out loud…
I have nothing to gain or lose for sharing this with you, but I figured I would pass it on for you.

No. It was obviously a family member as they hugged and he walked up straight from the bench when the game began.

PS - If you're dumb enough to believe a physician that works for the Heat will say "Wade is done" to a random fan (or to anyone really) - You'll have bigger issues then basketball in the future.
In fact it's so dumb I can already tell which posters will totally by into it.

Re: heard this via team personnel during the NY game (re Wad
It might be true. Ive heard that Wade has had a dead-leg all season.
The guy is on the decline, hes gotta figure out ways to help us now that hes on the other side of 30.
i love him, he is the Heat, has a free pass for anything in my book - I just wish he developed a spot up jumper. He missed that window. He can shoot midrange, but he usually does turnarounds, or step-backs.
It would have been great if he developed that Bosh-like catch and shoot game.

I won't discredit the OP, but yes it does sound kinda silly. Why would a physician talk to a fan like that lol.
But hey, you never know.
I honesty don't even expect much from Wade anymore, it is what it is. But I know he will have a couple of great games even on one leg in this post season.
The ONLY thing I ask is that he takes a huge pay cut. If Wade is taking up 20mil next year then we are truly F'ed

Regardless if true or not, seems like we won't be seeing a 100% or anything close to that with Wade in the playoffs yet again. Pity, it would of been nice with free agency looming to really put on a show with 3 healthy superstars.

It was obviously his family....not a random fan. But anyway, like I said, I got nothing to gain or lose over this. I just wanted to share what I heard...I don't need any credibility status from you guys...I am with ny not Miami

It's a weird story, but eh, I suppose anything with him shouldn't surprise me anymore. There's always "something" around this time of the year, but he's on pace to miss 30 games, so it's like...mind boggling.

To be quite honest, it's not really some secret that Wade has a degenerative knee issue. He hasn't been held out for a 3rd of the season for no reason. It was revealed some time ago that Wade had his meniscus removed at Marquette, and how regretful he is today for that surgery, considering what he's dealing with today.

I suppose OP is telling the truth.
I would guess his credentials check out.
The question is, how much did the guy in OP's story REALLY know about Wade's knee ?
What are HIS credentials ?
He might as well be talking out of his ass.
I am sure Heat fans hope he was talking out of his ass.

Re: heard this via team personnel during the NY game (re Wad
This is in line with what some of my own folks have been telling me. Wade really is on borrowed time and those knees are much worse than we read about. He might be in a D-Rose uniform in two years (permanently, that is). Thankfully, Wade has made enough money and has endeared himself to this franchise so much that he's set for life. The HEAT will take good care of him when he can't lace them up anymore.
Enjoy Dwyane while he's still able to play, people. There's some truth to what OP is saying.

haha @ thinking Heat team staff would divulge Wade's personal medical situation. Especially if it's so severe.
They would never do that. Trolling Knicks fan.
