Saw this on facebook [Nets - Raps]

Tim Donaghy, former NBA referee, said the NBA is pressuring the refs to call games for the Nets to beat the Raptors:
"The Raptors are not only going against the Brooklyn Nets but going against the league office. They have a very talented team and have to be that much better than the Brooklyn Nets. In this situation, Brooklyn would be put at an advantage. A Brooklyn-Miami matchup in round 2 would bring great ratings and that's what this is all about for the NBA and the league offices — bringing in as many dollars as they can. … Some of the things that the league does and continues to do puts these teams at a disadvantage — like the Toronto Raptors — because moving forward they won't bring in the big dollars for the league. It's terrible for the fans of Toronto. They go and support that team but really they're going to have trouble moving on based on talent and what takes place on the floor when they're really going against the refs and the league, along with the Nets."
I don't know if this is true or not, but the guy who posted it usually doesn't talk out of his arse.

Not our concern. Who comes, dies.

Maybe there's some truth to it.
But, at this point I think Donaghy is trying too hard to keep his name in the limelight, and he likely throws out a lot of baseless claims to get attention

Donaghy is a fraud, I don't believe frauds and I don't believe in any conspiracy theories so this is non-sense.

That conspiracy theory ref also said how the league was on the Heats side in 2011 to win the title and look what happened

He said it just to fuel the crazy Raptors fanbase, who cry conspiracy every time they lose. Just check their numerous games against us.
Plus if this was true, wouldn't the NBA have pulled for the Knicks against the Pacers last year. Pacers got every 50/50 call in that series, plus some really bad ones as well. A Knicks/Heat ECF would've been much better for the NBA than a Pacers/Heat ECF.
I don't believe him at all.

Guy just over analyzes questionable calls in an effort to stay relevant. No one is buying your book, get over it.

Saying stuff like this just makes so much of his other claims hard to believe.

Refs have nothing to do with Toronto's offense being nothing but putrid isos.

Why concern ourselves with this nonsense again?
