Shout out to Rashad Lewis

Post#1 » by bksballer89 » Sun May 25, 2014 3:51 am

Man his defense on West was huge tonight. It is sad that he can play better defense on West than Bosh can. Spo finally looked smart by playing Lewis

Never once allowed him to get good position. Awesome defense tonight. Bosh can learn a thing or 2.

The problem is Spo will use him next game for even more minutes and he won't be good for another game :)

Don't jinx it.

Honestly with the way Battier is playing, I rather lewis come off the bench instead of Shane

Rashard came through and undid Bosh's damage.

Lewis played well defensively but other then that he was bad didn't log anything in the stat column other then minutes and FG attempts and probably a foul or two

Rashard's D was a game-changer tonight. He seems to match up nicely against West.

But he could really be an asset if he could knock down some shots from outside. His 3-point shot has abandoned him lately.

Lol @ bosh getting owned once again by west, hibbert and even freaking' scola..

Funny how many ppl hated on lewis, he's making 1m this year .

He and ray allen were the difference makers. Cole as well.

Bosh +/- -8, Rashard +21

Lmao.

Somebody needs to step the **** up, or game 4 might get ugly, because their bigs won't stop.

Great game from Lewis. Yes, I said great. His defense on West was good. My only concern is when he goes to sucking again, hopefully Spo doesn't keep feeding him minutes. Hopefully he can shutdown West rest of the series.

And Bosh gotta stop getting bullied by West/Hibbert/Scola.

Lewis as a defensive stopper secret weapon. Who saw that coming?

It just goes to show that :

1)Sometimes we underestimate the importance of BB IQ.
2)Sometimes it's simply a question of matchups. Lewis didn't really do anything to deserve minutes and he can't hit a shot for months, but that doesn't matter if for some reason he can keep doing work on West.

Good Job by Spo, He's not sleepwalking with the spreadsheet this series...you've got to admit he's active and trying.

That's why he is in the rotation even though he's not good offensively but he can play defense more tough

I think GT3 must have killed himself.

Rashard was fantastic - changed the game.

I've been one of rashards toughest critics this year but I'm glad he was of use this game. Hopefully he can continue to come in and slow down west. If he starts to make his 3s it'll be even better

But we kinda saw glances of this in the regular season which is why i was surprised we didnt give him a chance in game one. Granted no idea how long Lewis defense will hold up but its promising. If Lewis would hit a 3 that would make the offense so much smoother spacing wise. Bosh need to bulk up a little bit.

I feel bad for Bosh. Spo wants him to lose more weight to get faster so he can run to the corners to drag out centers but at the same time the speed gains come at the expense of his size so he get punished on the defensive end.

no excuse. i know its not fair to compare bosh to a top 3 PF but kevin garnett has always been slim and he holds up as a defender. even now he doesnt get pushed around as much as bosh. bosh just needs to get more aggressive its been his Achilles heel since joining miami. way too passive
