Oh wow, I like it.
It's either a great sign (He's staying long term), or an awful sign (He's moving to...where?).
My money is on staying long term, the big 3 taking a paycut so we could bring more quality players.

Do you think he will go to NY or try and bring Melo there? If the sources are true about the Rockets going all in if LeBron opts out, what do you think the odds are of a lineup of:
LBJ-HARDEN-HOWARD

NYK has no cap space to sign anyone this year- Bars/Amare just opted in for a combined 35M. I could see Lebron going to Houston but find it very unlikely he leaves Miami.

Agreed, it's feast or famine time but I'm optimistic that he settles and rides out his career with Miami. I wouldn't be surprised if the Big3 already discussed taking paycuts and met with Riles already. #VivaLaHEAT

Lebron is throwing the ball to Pat Riley and saying "your move". I think he's opting out to keep his options open and see if Miami can put together a better team. Riley needs to resign Wade and Bosh to smaller contracts and add a couple of new pieces before Lebron resigns with the Heat.

LeBron and Dwight aren't good friends at all so I see that he won't go to Houston to play with a defenseless Harden and a weak bench that's why he is staying in Miami

who can we sign to please lebron?
we already have 3 contracts of superstars locked. it takes a miracle to have 4 superstars on a team.
you can have 4 stars in one team via drafting, like boston celtics had rondo + big 3 contracts.

How much cap room does Houston have? Keep in mind that it's not a a proven fact that Howard and Harden can co-exist yet...they've overachieved more than we have on Year 1. Will Harden give up ball control?

Why are you surprised. Pretty much everyone expected this. Doing this gives him options and leverage.

I believe they can amnesty Amar'e and free about 22 million. Carmelo will opt out and free another 20 somethin as well which would give them enough to make salary cutting signings from them. I dont think he will leave either, but Miami was a dark horse a few years ago too and there is a new sheriff in town in NY.
I would say it is 70-30 he stays and if he leaves I would also bet he goes with Melo or CLE

Pretty much this. I think Wade and Bosh also opt out and we retool. I'm sure that James has let Spo/Riley know or will let them know that he's not going to go on having to do everything and lead the headless chicken defense only to be completely exhausted at year's and have nothing to show for it even though he had a historic postseason. We need youth, another wing defender, a big who can defend and rebound, a guard who can occasionally create and pass the damn ball to open teammates off of pick and rolls.
