Sign and trade Mario Chalmers. We've already used our exceptions which means we don't need to renounce anyone's rights. That means we can use Rio to bring in one more worthwhile player.

I'd suggest going after Emeka Okafor though I doubt Phoenix has a need for Rio.

Who would you target and why?

S&T for a swingmen who can take the pressure off LBJ and Wade (hopefully) and one that can create his own shot

We'd have to pay another team to trade Rio. His stock has fallen so low. Poor guy.

Won't be an easy sell.

We don't want this guy so someone give us a worthwhile player for him please.

The real question is will he return from Alaska?

Maybe he'll just retire?

I feel bad for Chalmers as I like him as a person but basketball is a business and unfortunately he is bad for business. I will take him back on the heat if and only if he takes 2 million or less per year

Not really I think some want to come back and others are going to announce retirement. They all want to see Lebron does though.

Nobody wants his sorry ass and no team is actively looking to improve us.

free agents haven't exactly been moving. some teams retained their guys. a couple other minor pieces moved. I think by and large teams are waiting for lebron and melo then the dominos fall.

a team should like Rio and the Heat should have a player they like in a team that likes Rio for a $&T. Any news, a team that likes to sign Rio???

Chalmers is our most reliable 3pt shooter. He needs to smarten up and tighten up his game, but there's no need to throw him overboard ... especially when his value is at its lowest.

I would've loved an upgrade in Lowry but I'm happy with Chalmers and if he's at the min then do it. At least he dares to stand up to Lebron's false **** sometimes.

It's not like he's turned into Mike Bibby.

Chalmers might be our only tradable asset. I just don't know there is a market for him now after his unfortunate Finals showing. IMO, he will resign with Miami in a short contract and that wouldn't be a bad thing either. Let's not forget all the big shots and big games he's had in our 4 year run. Yes, he can be inconsistent - like Cole - but I just don't see any realistic options out there. With a 2yr $8-$10 mil contract he could become attractive for a trade deadline deal this season or next if we don't find any options right now.

I know some of you will not be crazy with those numbers but that is how this organization has displayed loyalty before (Joel Anthony) and might do again with Chalmers. He's been part of this thing all along after all.

He's obviously not Bosh. Bosh was a 20 pts & 11 rebs guy.

It's crazy how a bad Finals series can influence people's views on here. It's one series out of a long career with us. Chalmers has his worth and you claim he won't be an easy sell or might retire at his age. The market for players like him is saturated, that plays a role and we probably don't have much of a need for him either, but the guy is a worthy NBA player and thus can be moved for something more useful to us.

It wasn't just the finals, Chalmers sucked the entire regular season and playoffs
