Since LeBron has moved on who should the Heat target in FA? I was thinking Greg Monroe would be a nice addition

I am not a fan of tanking. Unless there is a superstar potential talent on the horizon in college, there is no point. I'd rather be the treadmill than be scraping the bottom of the standings on a yearly basis.

I would love us to get John Salmons of waivers or a cheap deal, I have always liked his game even back in the Miami Hurricane days and think he would be a good vet to have. Whatever we do it will be to set us up for 2 years from now when everyone will want a new contract for the tv deals outside of rookies. So that means a good mix of rookie contracts plus a new max star or two could give you a huge advantage.

what's the protection like? Doesn't Cleveland get that pick eventually? Could you guys participate in a 3 way trade that gets love and lebron in Cleveland where you take salary back and your pick?

thing is , i am for tanking..because riley was operating in a way lebron will stay... getting napier, getting already established players...

right now our entire strategy changes, this is why i dont want us out making panic buys now

I understand the tanking discussion, but the Heat fan in me can't accept that; even when we got LeBron, we we were still very competitive and went to the playoffs year after year aside from '07-'08. Besides, there are still quality players out there, and if Bosh for some reason decides to stay then I like our chances at remaining a top team in the east; not that it would matter, the next few NBA championships won't be coming from the Eastern Conference.

S&T Bosh to Cleveland for Wiggins.

May be bitter sweet but it's better than losing him for nothing (or spare parts) to Houston.
