Seems like the moves Miami are making are setting up for 2016. Competitive now with option to rebuild/reload in 2016. As of now only:
CB1
Shabazz
McRoberts

Have contracts guaranteed for 2016.

That's definitely it. As of right now, the only 3 players definitely going to be under contract that season will be Bosh, McBob, and Napier. Wade might be too, we'll see. Napier and McBob will also probably be easily moved if we really need the space. And the cap is expected to sky rocket to well over 80M, which means we could easily have 30-40M in capspace or more.

That being said, I think with all its expiring Miami might also be in position to trade a lot of these pieces out in 2015 to teams looking to clear space in order to pick up future assets. Should be interesting to see how this goes.

I am happy right now. Competitive current team with future flexibility in 2016. And as you mentioned the McRoberts/Napier contracts can easily be traded(small $$$ contracts)

Exactly.. riley the man. Keep us competitive with an eye on the future. He's trying to pay wade and haslem more now, but get them to take two years. The longer years was only if lebron stayed...

That is the key. UD should definitely not get more than two years. Getting Wade to take a two year deal would be excellent. Wade will be 34 in summer 2016. Hopefully he is still able to play and he can be signed to a smaller contract that summer.

Cousins is locked up long term in Sacramento...

This is heavily dependent upon the deal Wade signs, but I have a feeling he'll sign a 2-year contract similar to the $40+ million he opted out of and re-up for less in 2016 after we've completed our overhaul. He wants to win too. If 2 stars come and join Bosh with Wade then more acceptant at a reserve role, he can potentially up his title total to 5+ at the end stage of his career. It's enticing.

He can't sign that 2-year deal, we don't have the space for it anymore. His first year salary will be in the 12-14M range (or lower)

If bosh and some rookies are on the books for the 2016, we should have, if cap space rises to 80mil



50mil? And I think it might be a tad bit lower too, but that is a rough amount

More importantly... who are the available FA's in 2016?

I really hope we target Howard and Batum in 2016.
A Batum-Bosh-Howard front court would be sick!

Add 3 point shooters at the PG and SG position to these 3 plus Wade off the bench, that team would be a legit contender once again

I think Mike Conley is quite underrated around the league & would be a good addition. Getting one of Howard, Horford, Jefferson, Noah, Lopez to pair up with Bosh has to be the major target however.

deng/granger/chalmers are 2 years contract. Give us alot of flexibility for teams looking for expires

Mike Conley is 27 right now, he should still be in his prime in 2 years
