Top 3 Favorite Obscure Heat Players

Post#1 » by walk with me » Tue Jul 15, 2014 7:20 pm

I'm happy to be a heat fan. The future is looking extra bright right now with the announcement of Dwades new deal.

To celebrate lets take a walk down memory lane and reminisce over our favorite random heat players...

I'll start it off.

1. Jamal Mashburn - Was in HS when he palyed for us... maybe 9th or 10th grade and playing on the bball team. he had a lot of moves I felt were really crafty and creative. I would watch his games and try to steal his moves for my games.

2. Voshon Leonard - I always respected the guys who don't talk a lot and do all teh work. He was stone cold but would always knock down big shots and was a dead eye shooter.

3. Tie Ricky Davis/Rodney Buford - I've loved dunking since I was little. Both of these guys were like your prototypical 6 ft 5 or 6 ft 6 big time dunkers. Neither of them really panned out but I spent a lot of time hoping they did lol....

I wouldnt exactly call Mashbrun or Leonard "obscure" they were starters on some pretty decent heat teams that just couldnt beat jordans bulls.

My personal favorite obscure heat players are

1) Vladimir Stepania
2) Wang Zu zu (always a fan fav)
3) Rafer Alston

agreed they are far from obscure but they aren't the ZO, Timmy H, Ronny Sikely, Dan Marjerle or Dwades of the miami heat world...

I should put ike austin on my honorable mention

Laettner was underrated, great PnR man with Wade. Smooth J, brilliant passer, timing was perfect. We used to spam those whenever Shaq was on the bench and it was basically a layup drill for Wade

1. Ike Austin (I still wonder if we'd have won Game 5 in '98 if we hadn't traded him for Brent Barry that season)

2. Jimmy Jackson

3. Sasha Danilovic (whenever someone questions my Heat loyalty, mentioning Sasha Danilovic is always my go-to STFU reply)

1) Willie Burton - only cause the bum was a bum for us then dropped 53pts against us when he left for the sixers

2) Michael Doleac - he was actually pretty good. Imagine if we had him now?! lol!

3) Harold Miner - he gave me hope as a fan of a crap team in thinking that maybe we finally had a star

Dan Majerle (if he counts as obscure)
Isaac Austin
Jason Kapono

BTW, this thread turned from "favorite obscure player" to "name the most obscure players you can think of".
Reading comprehension is at an all time low in this thread.
