Old heat fan new to the fourms . If so boozer and Beasley is who I go after . Or maybe even try and trade Norris cole for something or even Napier .

There are 3 or 4 spots left.
PG: Mario | Cole | Napier
SG: Wade | _____ | _____
SF: Deng | Granger | Ennis
PF: McBob | Haslem | _____
C: Bosh | Birdman | ______
I haven't seen anything about Hamilton being cut, so he might be a third center, but I suspect he was cut for salary purposes. I guess we'll know soon enough.
Boozer isn't a free agent, he's available in the amnesty waiver process, but signing Wade, Deng, and Haslem put us over the cap, so we won't be able to bid on him. He'll only be available for us to sign in the very unlikely event that nobody puts a bid in on him. Likelihood of that is slim.
There is clearly room for Beasley on this team if we are gonna play Bosh at C. The forward position starts to look a little crowded, however, if Bosh is going to play significant minutes there. Especially with Granger available as a potential small-ball PF.

No. He used to be decent in previous years. Last year he entered the 'terrible rebounder' zone. Hopefully he manages to be at least decent.

That might be because last year Big Al was their starting center and he averaged close to 11 rebounds.

It's not an excuse to average 5.7 rebounds per 36 minutes. Even Andrea Bargnani averages 5.8 rebounds per 36 for his career.
Luol Deng averages 6.3 rebounds per 36 for his career, and he's a SF who spent most of his career next to Noah, Ben Wallace and Varejao, all good rebounders.
It's not like Al Jefferson is Dennis Rodman or Moses Malone.
I think McBob's lack of offensive rebounds is understandable, he was asked to shoot a lot of 3s. Hard to rebound on the offensive end if you are camped at the 3pt line. But defensively he should get more. Hopefully he can step it up.

Josh McRoberts averages 7.5 rebounds per 36 for his carrer.

That's why I wrote (and it's in one of the posts you quoted):
"He used to be decent in previous years. Last year he entered the 'terrible rebounder' zone. Hopefully he manages to be at least decent."

And you compared his "terrible" year to other guys' career averages. Not really fair, is it?

It's harder to pile up rebounds when you're parked out at the 3pt line. The same thing happened with Bosh when he got to Miami.

we need to bring back Oden to give us 15 Center minutes
Also, bring back SuperCool. Lastly, find Wade's backup

Offensive rebounds, yes. No excuse for him becoming a terrible defensive rebounder.

What's your point, exactly? That his rebounding last year wasn't terrible? That Bargnani isn't a terrible rebounder?
I said McRoberts had a terrible year rebounding. I said his other years weren't terrible. I said it can be in part explained by 3pt shooting. And I said I hope he recovers.
You are taking some part of my post, ignoring the others and repeating what I said. Then when I say that yes, I agree, and I actually said those things, you start talking about some mythical unfairness.
Don't act like a McRoberts' groupie.

Not the biggest fan of him actually. He was worse last year rebounding-wise, but I wouldn't necessarily call him terrible. That's all.

Yeah, I don't have a good answer for that. In fact I have no answer for that. Maybe his defensive responsibilities drew him out further away from the basket area? Honestly I don't know. Hopefully it wasn't a result of him getting lazy or wanting to avoid contact.
We need McRoberts to get better, not regress.

I'm not too fond of any of Granger, Ennis, or Deng at shooting guard, though I guess worst case scenario Ennis is quick enough to get by most nights. Given that IMO ideally we'd only be choosing 2 from Oden/Hamilton/Beasley trio, and adding 2 more guards. Just my 2 cents, I don't have any problem with the names you listed in isolation but I feel like we'd be heading into the season with a true backup for Wade, and I'm not comfortable with that.

You guys shouldn't focus so much on individual numbers. The Bobcats were #1 in the league in Drb% last season with McRoberts 4th on the team in minutes, 2nd amongst big men behind only Al Jeff. He was clearly doing his job boxing out and grabbing boards when available.

McRoberts game evolved last year to the point that they were running their offense through him and he was shooting quite a bit from outside.
If you are facilitating the offense from the elbow or outside the arc or shooting a high percentage of outside shots (and making them), your rebounding numbers will decline.
