Hi!
I just deceided to join this awesome site/awesome forum!
I'm from Germany so don't wonder why my teams are just all from different cities.
But don't think i'm a Bandwagon-/Player-fan because i have actually no "bond" to the cities of Dallas, Miami or Detroit. I'm loyal to my teams over the last 20 years!
So how do i became an HEAT Fan(atic)? Here is my story...
Only in Basketball i had first some "Identity crisis".
Over here in Germany the first real Basketball hype started with the Dream Team in Barcelona '92
I started my passion for Basketball with the Bulls vs. Blazers Series. Everybody over here cheered for MJ & Co. but besides Horace Grant i couldn't stand those Bulls. LJ and the Hornets were kind of cool.
So i cheered for them at first. Hyped by the DT '92 performance i really liked "Sir" Charles and so i followed him to the Suns. So in '92-'93 i cheered for the Hornets, Suns and....i really liked "the Admiral" and Sean Elliott, Aj and HC Lucas. So yes i liked 3 teams and this point. The Hornets drafted ZO in this year and i really liked him. The ECF '93 Bulls/Knicks Series let me really sit at the edge of my seat and i was really impressed by Riles and this philosophy to play defense.
In 1993-1994 i moved on from the Suns(where hyped here all over the place) before the season started and besides the Spurs i only was interested in the Knicks. UNTiL and i'm so happy Brian Shaw dated Madonna back in this year i saw the Miami Heat led by Glen Rice and Steve Smith for the very first time.
G-Money was just awesome and i moved on from LJ. So i guess everyone knows what happend next after Riley left the Knicks to join this Heat Organisation...i followed him! I was then pissed at first after he traded Rice but the exchange with my favorite Big Man, Zo made it soooo easy(also the Hardaway trading deadline deal helped here) for me to become a Heat fan for good....
And now after the 2nd biggest deception in HEAT history i deceided to be a part of this forum.
