So what do you guys think... should we give him another shot? Frankly, i've seen all I need to see from him to know that his NBA future looks bleak.

He made me wish Granger was available. That's how bad it was.

Maybe just don't play him 32 minutes per game..if he's playing we'll keep playing him, but if he's stinking it up I don't see why he should get so much time. Bosh and wade are really the only two guys on this roster who should have that luxury

He wont play that much with the return of McRob!
He had a nigh shooting off but i liked his hustle and he made some good move on defense
i still see him over UD

Overreaction to a poor first game performance.
Trust me, I think Shawne Williams will have a nice impact on this squad considering he is, despite what you saw last night, a good 3-point shooter. Plus, he can do the little things.

I think we're being too harsh on him. Someone needs to remind him that he can shoot twos as well. He had quite a number of deflections last night. But boy if Nene were playing, it would have been uglier.

It's one game. It happens. If it becomes a trend/habit, then we move. We don't move after one game. Thankfully, Williams wasn't completely worthless out there. While he went 1-9, he still managed to record six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and I'm sure Coach Spo will highlight that if asked about it.

He missed shots, someone has to take them. I really liked his hustle. Surprised me with the ability to quickly block a shot. And his rebounds were timely. He doesnt stand around. I like him. Honestly most of you were ready to trade and run Bosh out of town when clearly it was the system and position they wanted to put him in. Williams is a different story, keep working on that shot he will be ok. Also I wish we didnt take so many threes, im cool with him faking and driving it a little more. None of his shots looked like they were in rhythm.

No need to wait till 2016 to rebuild the entire team. Williams came right in and filled the Rashard Lewis role of lack luster D, no rebounding, inconsistent shooting and 25 minutes a night!

My god! The dude was TERRIBLE in everything he did.

"Let's not Shawne" is way more catchy than "Let's not Lewis", I have to say :)

But let's hope he picks it up and it doesn't resort to that anyways. Go Heat

Shawne Williams I had better expectations from...

I know he can shoot the ball well but he not only didn't make atleast one three... He couldn't defend Gooden who went off. This game should have been a blow out if we made our 3s and of Williams actually made some

But it is the first game... I will give him a few more chances.

But man Spo playing him so much was weird. I'm guessing it was because Granger wasn't available, who had tightness in his hamstring I believe. UD had a tight quad.

I'll give him a few more chances...

Just wanted to drop by this dedicated thread for Shawne Williams lol.

He is looking more and more like 2014-15 version of Rashard Lewis.
You gotta love those soft-shooting tweeners. 8-)

I'll give him 10 games before I'm done with him but not a good start. I honestly believe that he'll eventually turn it on though.

Too soon.

He wasn't that bad overall, just sucked with his shooting. Let's see what he does against Philly. The shots he took were good, he just couldn't hit anything for some reason.
