ON THE LAST EPISODE OF MIAMI HEAT BASKETBALL...

The Heat opened the season against the Wizards, and while they had a rough start, especially from the 3 point line, Heat pull out a win with monster games from Bosh, Wade, and Cole. Many people questioned Wade and wondered if he'd stay healthy, or would he be able to shoot the basketball? Wade after being hit in the calf, suffered a minor bruise but came back into the game, and scored 14 points (2 threes), in the 4th to solidify their win on opening night. Wade scored a total of 22 points.

Everyone also had their doubts on Bosh and pondered if he could be the first option on this Heat team, or if he could even rebound. Bosh comes out and gets 26/15/4 assists with 1 block and 1 steal, silencing his critics for the time being.

Many people wondered if Cole would fit in as a starter. After one game, he is making people question themselves on whether he is the answer or not, after putting out an impressive 23 points and blowing past John Wall.

The bench showed a solid outing, with 22 points off the bench and the rookies, Napier and Ennis, showing why they need playing time on the court. They came in and helped the Heat get a 7 point lead in beginning of the 4th quarter. Then after a Wizards missed shot, Bosh rebounds the ball, gives it to Chalmers, who passes it to Ennis on the fast break, and Ennis gives a MASSIVE FACIAL to Rasual Butler. The energy in the building was unbelievable, despite what the haters have to still say about the Miami Heat crowd.

We now head out to the next game, against the Philadelphia 76ers on the road. The Heat will still try to build their habits, their chemistry, their poise, as well make shots. Do you have this team's back, no matter the outcome?

There's someone else who rocks that sig, you can too. I don't know if that logo I have in the thread is too big

Yeah I expect a win... I don't even know anyone on that Philly roster, only MCW, Embiid and Noel and only one of them is playing

I mean if we suck on defense we might give ourselves a tough game, but I expect a good one.

@DefenseWins : good work with the gamethread, you have set a high standard

We cant afford to lose against a tanker team so it's a must win

I would like to see more improvement on defense :

- Defend better the 3 point line
- Dont always double teams on perimeter
- Better man to man defense

On offense dont rely too much on the 3, i mean i dont want to see all our starters being 0/1 at 3 in less 5mn...

LETS GO HEAT 8-)

Let's see if S.Williams can hit something. If we have a decent shooting night it's a W.

Excited to see Cole, Ennis and Napier do well.

I'm expecting a 30-point game from Wade. He will get in rhythm very early.

Excited to see more Heat bball. Hopefully we can get McRoberts back soon to help build continuity and get the ball moving a bit more. I really think this still is a top tier team in this league so long as they stick to their defensive core values.

Oh shoot today is Coles extension

I thought we might trade him but you know, extending him for a year and letting him go 2016 with every one else might work out

I actually want to see Shannon Brown this game

with a line up of mario, brown, enis, bosh, and bird. I think that is probably our best option after the starters sit down (of course add bosh for continuity)

Philly has drafted my two favorite college players in back to back years. I have a closet obsession with them.

Having said that, I hope we get significant contributions from our role players and keep building on the team concept we are establishing. We know that Bosh and Wade are getting theirs. Who's going to stand out tomorrow night? It would be nice to see Cole go ham again.
