Hornets explore Lance Stephenson trades

Post#1 » by JLop » Mon Dec 1, 2014 9:05 pm

"The Hornets have been aggressive making trade calls, according to sources across the league.

The Hornets are searching for upgrades on the wing and at power forward, per those sources, and they are willing to talk turkey on basically anyone other than Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson. Free agents signed this past offseason can't be traded until December 15, and few would be surprised if the Hornets make and take calls on Lance Stephenson ahead of that trigger date."

We need a Shooting guard and Lance Stephenson is a solid player. Then again, we are talking about Stephenson, and the man has some real mental issues. What are your thoughts on this matter?

My thoughts are unless they want Cole and Justin Hamilton and some second round picks, then we got nothing else to offer.

Our other assets are only available for bigger fish.

Pass.

We never did have any luck with bone-headed players and rightfully so.

Pass!!! The most I'd be willing to give would be Cole + Birdman. I would assume that in exchange for Stephenson they would want Deng from us in which case hell no!!! No way in hell would I trade the ultimate professional in Deng for the head case that is Lance Stephenson.

They said nothing about trading Lance. Only the media saying things like "a few would be surprised" if they consider trading Lance.

That'd have to be some deal

They have Biyombo though... Cole + Birdman for Biyombo lol

I agree the most I would give to them would be Birdman,Cole, and maybe Granger if that would be the only way to get the deal done.

How funny would that be though that if in any scenario where we do trade for Lance,we would have Granger,McRoberts, and Lance who all had beef with he who shall not be named,at one point.

I doubt it's even a possibility, but I would really rather not that have that ******* on this team.

no thank you
This team needs to learn to play better. Shuffling players around isnt going to solve what we are doing wrong.

I would get involved in a three way trade, we need to upgrade.

I'd like Biyombo or Zeller, not Stephenson.

I was thinking the same thing and bring in someone that fits our roster.

McRoberts/Chalmers/ Hamilton/2nd rd picks or cash

for

Stephenson/Zeller

we end up with

Cole/Napier
Wade/Stephenson/Dawkins
Deng/Ennis/Granger
Bosh/Williams/Haslem
Zeller/Bird/Whiteside

not bad..and Stephenson's contract has a team option for 2016 so if we see an upgrade we can easily decline it. Despite his troubles, he has a surprisingly reasonable contract so we can trade him if it doesnt work. Stephenson also takes over Wario's offense off the bench role where he can pretty much do whatever he wants which he's shown to excel at. Thoughts?

I like this trade. I'm not sure it fits 100% for Charlotte, but I think we get some pretty good upgrades here, and having Lance would really help when Wade has to sit for multiple games. Moving Bosh back to PF has some huge benefits, and as long as Spo makes appropriate changes to the way we play, especially defense, then I think it's a big win.

We aren't trading Chalmers or McBob... You kidding me bro? Also, Dawkins just got assigned to D-League, so redo your post man.

He has no winning tradition and is head case. As a Heat fan, my skin crawls just thinking about it.
