The evolution, the final chapter, it's amazing. Wade is exceeding my expectations, after signing a one year deal with a player contract, i thought this was a make or break year. Wade is averaging an absurd 23(6th in lg) points on 50% from the field, 39% from beyond the arc, 5.5 assists, 4 rebounds a steal and a PER of 23.84(10th in lg, *players who play more than 20 mins a gm. One of four guys in the lg who is averaging 20+ points on 50+% shooting

Wade has been pretty dutiable thus far, playing 22 of the possible 30 games-74% of games (7/8 games missed due to a hamstring injury, not the knee). Wade has evolved his game nicely, having a nice balance of the midrange game, post ups, transition even the 3 ball and facilaiting and creating for his team-mates. Since Bosh has been out, Wade has been on a tear, averaging 28 points in his absence, 5 assists and 5 rebounds and has made some big plays in the 4th quarter this season where he has taken us home, e.g. Knicks at the Garden, Nets, even this week against the Wizards, he almost won us the game. Today, Wade was not vintage, theres no such thing as vintage, the term vintage is thrown far to often at Wade for two years now, as Jeff Van Gundy stated 'Wade has become so underrated', its true!

Enjoy the final chapter, its been awesome, 16 year old kid from Australia whose idolised you since 2005, when i first saw you on tv, inspired me to play ball, legend!

Love that man; one of my all time favorites in the 50 years I've followed basketball (started watching and loving the game at a young age)

Nope. Wade is the #1 greatest thing. I know you are thinking Pat Riley is #1, but without Wade, Riley could not build or coach a team to the Finals. Riley is amazing, but players win championships.

Wade is the #1 reason we have 3 rings right now.

Wade really is the best thing to happen to this franchise. I love Pat, he has shaped the franchise to have an identity, hustle guys who play defense (though... OLD guys who do that..), but Wade is a SUPER STAR... people really forget Wade in his prime. We really don't have 3 rings if it wasn't for Wade. Shaq wanted to join him, LeBron did. He is also a great guy individually, professional, and has taken the most sacrifice to make things work man. He could have said **** it and said give me the Kobe deal and we lose Bosh or something, but he does whats best for his franchise.

just sucks about his injuries...

and he need to clean up in the 2nd half lol, missing too many shots but when Bosh gets back I think it will be better. He cant carry the load when he is hurt, only in the 1st half to set the tone.

Dwyane Wade is the best thing that has ever happened to me, physically and mentally, no homo of course, maybe a bit, but a case can be made.

Agree with previous posters, and to me prime Wade > Prime LBJ or prime Kobe. his prime was just shorter due to injuries. But he's been healthy enough to be the best thing in Heat history.

I love D. Wade. To anybody who rarely watches the Heat nowadays your missing out on seeing Wade play. Counting this season I'm guessing Wade's going to play 3-4 seasons until he retires. So this it it and I for one am going to enjoy every second of it. I can't imagine a league without D. Wade in it. I'm pretty young (19 years old) Ever since I started watching basketball Wade has always been in the league. The fact the he won't be around for too much longer really hit me in a big way. So I'm just trying to enjoy every second that I get to see him out there on the floor. He always has been and always will be my favorite basketball player.

Dwyane Wade is the reason I started watching the Heat about a decade ago. It'll be a very sad day when he retires from the NBA. I wish life wasn't so busy right now, haven't had the chance to watch many games this season...

Sacrificed four years of his prime being the top-dog just so the franchise could get to four straight finals and win two of them. If that doesn't tell you about Dwyane Wade's character, then I don't know what will

I love Wade but Pat is number 1#. Shaq came to Miami because of Pat. Pat went to L.A. (supposively an job interview) talked to Shaq personally to come to Miami. Shaq was never considering Miami till Pat talked to him. Shaq was ready to go to NY or Dallas. Pat layed the foundation for Wade to win a chip, laid the foundation that brought the big three here instead of all three going to chicago. Its easy to give the credit to Wade but Riley setting it up perfectly for it to happen. If Chicago organization was strong at that time (that year their coach and gm got into a fist fight), Wade and Bosh would of been in chicago.

Shaq came to Miami because of Wade too. He publicly stated it. I think he was looking for his next Kobe and he saw that potential in Wade. Pat Riley had a big part in everything too, but in regards to our championships he is nowhere near the same level of importance as Wade. What Pat is big for is creating a first class organization and setting the tone for a winning franchise. We will be that long after he and Wade retires so that means a lot too. But enticing Shaq and LeBron and Bosh here? Wade.

Its gonna be a really sad day when he retires. Its why I dislike so much when people talk about how he's going to be done and retired in 2 years or needs to come off the bench next year. Like wtf. Kobe is 36, Duncan is 40. I know he has what people consider to be bad knee problems, but he's an incredible worker and shows commitment to keeping his body up and adapting his game. Don't count him out until he's counted himself out. I always say that Heat fans need to do a better job of appreciating him while he's here. Stop all this tanking talk. The way he's playing now, you're crazy if you think he couldn't lead us to the finals again if we got him and Bosh some more help. That's not to say we'd win, but I like my odds putting money on Wade performing in the finals. He's shown and proved for us as Heat fans so many times before.

Its half and half at worst. Shaq publicly said he was sold to come to South Beach when he saw this:

So Riley definitely made initial groundwork but Wade's emergence sealed the deal.

I told my friend today, I'm going to just enjoy watching Wade over these next 2-5 seasons man. If it's as an 8th seed or a top 4 seed.. Losing 4-1 in the first round or getting to the conference finals. Doesn't matter. We been blessed as Heat fans to see our team win 3 titles. I'm refusing to take Wade for granted as a basketball and heat fan. He's a once in a generation franchise player that we may never have again.

Time to see back and enjoy the vintage Wade games and to be honest.. The guy still looks like a top 10 player. It's actually kinda fun.. No pressure to win it all, and have the whole sports world ready to fall down on us as fans lol.

What a career this guy as had for OUR Heat.

I don't think we're really at the final chapter here, but it depends how you define chapters. The Wade-Goran chapter is definitely on now, but I can see it evolving to another championship before he goes off into the sun. You know he wants it.

I've been saying this since he entered the league. I was never impressed w/ Lebron honestly. Wade was in the shadow of all of them inc. Melo. Wade was somethin' else and he proved it by winning a championship before any of them (except Kobe of course)
