Do you want Wade to retire at 33?

glad they called out those bandwagon cavs fans. too many years we had the national media attacking heat fans yet we always showed up since before lebron. certain teams with "real fans" can't even give away tickets if a star isn't on their team.

Dawkins signed by the Celtics on a 10 day. I'm sure this board will explode if Birch ever got to sniff a call up from any team

From NBA bust to CBA folk hero, Shanghai Sharks import Michael Beasley is enjoying an incredible career renaissance in China.
The second overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft, Beasley is currently averaging 29.4 points and 10.4 rebounds. If that wasn’t impressive enough, on Sunday at the CBA All-Star Game in Beijing, Beasley scored a record 59 points. There are few players with quite so hot a hand as the former Miami and Minnesota forward, and given that he will soon be a free agent again, Beasley may just be a critical late addition to an NBA contender’s roster.
\In some ways, bouncing out of the league after a doomed stint with the Heat was probably been the best thing to have happened to him. Chinese basketball has always been an unlikely home for maverick Americans. Stephon Marbury has obviously thrived in his five years in China, while Gilbert Arenas openly gushed about wanting to return to the CBA after his stint there in 2012. CBA teams have a tendency to give American players the sort of slack an NBA front office would not allow, but at the same time China lacks the sort of distractions that got Beasley into trouble in the first place. As a result a happier, more committed player has emerged.
There have, of course, been a couple of moments of immaturity. Against the Bayi Rockets, Beasley appeared to distract a rival player by trying to untie his shoelaces at the free-throw line a la J.R. Smith.
On another occasion, he managed to get thrown out a game against Jiangsu. Those were lapses in what has otherwise been a pretty solid campaign for Beasley, who has been well received by fans and his teammates. Interestingly for the player, he has also kept a very low profile, rarely talking to the media and mostly staying out of trouble.
The question now is what can Beasley do in the NBA. In China, he has proven he can score by the bucket-load and has also appeared to have focused on his basketball. A young and inexperienced Sharks team continually looked to him to deliver clutch baskets during the season and Beasley almost always delivered. Yet, with Shanghai now mathematically ruled out the playoffs and the regular season almost over, the question now becomes which NBA GM is willing to roll the dice and bring the in-form Beasley back to America. Someone will though, he’s simply been too good to ignore.
I don't think he'll ever come back to Miami, both because of Miami's lack of a desire to bring him back and what I would suspect is a sour taste in his mouth as far as being a part of this team is concerned (due to Miami's treatment of him and his own behavior). However, at the same time...
http://heatzone.blog.palmbeachpost.com/ ... ray-allen/Michael Beasley had trouble cracking the rotation last season, but Riley said the team has been in touch with him about a return and he is “still a consideration.” The same goes for Greg Oden, who is “still on our board.”
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miam ... story.html...with Williams in, it essentially ended Michael Beasley's second tour with the Heat, with the team's No. 2 overall draft pick in 2008 signing with the Memphis Grizzlies. Riley said it was part of refreshing the roster in the wake of LeBron James' departure.
"I love Mike, but we're moving on," Riley said. "When L.J. left, we just cleaned the table. It's time to move on. It really had nothing to do with anything but we're just moving in another direction, in another way, and it was nothing punitive, there was nothing bad.
"I wish him nothing but the best. But we decided, in the long run, Josh McRoberts and Shawne, Chris [Bosh], Chris Andersen, Udonis [Haslem] and the guys we had there. I didn't want him to be put in the position of not playing, maybe."
Didn't seem as angry or bridge-burning. Aw, who am I kidding? He'll never come back.

I know people here hate talking about it but it was a mistake letting Beasley go we needed him a young athletic scorer.

Not likely to happen but It would be an interesting experiment to see what fan's reaction is if it comes down to playing Beasley or Birch...

Come on guys. How many times are you going to let Beasley disappoint you. He doesn't fit here and apparently he doesn't fit anywhere in the NBA since he couldn't make a team in the off season. We gave him so many chances. When we brought Beasely back in 2013 I wasn't excited at all. I remembered his play in the two seasons after drafting him and because of that I didn't expect anything out of him. He is and always will be a bust. It kind of sucks when you think about it though. That #2 pick was the highest we've ever had. A pick like that in a strong draft should have ideally ended up being a future franchise player. Someone to take over once Wade retired. Alas we got Beasley. It isn't all bad though. Who knows if Beasely ended up being good maybe we never sign the big 3.

To be fair, I didn't think we gave Beasley a fair shake in his last year in Miami. He could had been incorporated within the rotation, especially offensively, to maintain youthfulness in the lineup (one of the main problems is that we ran our older guys not named Wade to the ground). If we can give him another chance, I wouldn't mind it. But I also remember how underwhelming and downright terrible he was during his 1st couple of seasons with us. Can never get that piss-poor PS performances out of my mouth during 08-10.

I thought we brought in Beasley for bench scoring last time and that's what he was doing... He was averaging 10ppt on great shooting. His defense is being over blown, we have worse defenders in this team with no knees even right now just cause of their status
Beasley's maturity level I guess just couldn't be Heat like. Also, Pat didn't clean the table enough, I hope we start more anew next year, we need more youth. That's the key defensively, especially in the wing.

That's his own fault.
http://www.ngngsports.com/2014/06/lebro ... eason.htmlLebron was disappointed with his lack of focus and he lost the confidence of Spo early into the season. He's lazy and
he has never and will never buy into the system that we have here. That's the point that most Heat fans need to get. I understand the desire to give him another chance. He's very talented offensively and he can be had for the same cost as a Justin Hamilton but the fact is that Heat fans are just setting themselves up for disappointment. Clinging to the hope that he'll change. Sadly he won't.
