Let's Help Pat Fill Out the Heat Roster - UPDATED

Since Pat is clearly reading the forum for ideas about how to go forward, perhaps we should give him a little help finding talent to fill out our bench. Trades are kaput but signing players that are bought out or d-leaguers etc is cool. Add "Other" if you want someone else not on the list. I'll try to keep "others" updated in this comment. :-)

So, I found five mentions of (other) but only one vote registered. Here is what I have seen though:

Beasley won the first poll solidly.

Khem Birch (5)
Quincy Miller (2) (Detroit)
Michael Beasley (8) (Miami)
Andray Blatche (6)
Thomas Robinson (1) (Philadelphia)
Seth Curry (2)
Eric Griffin (1)
Victor Claver (1)

New Poll now to replace Henry Walker with a suitable big since Whiteside will likely be suspended.

There is no perfect player. Some players clearly do not want to play now (Sanders, Blatche?) or are likely injured. Let's see what is possible though.

Sign Boozer and Kevin Martin...Martin would be my favorite FA signing.... We need another scorer off the bench and someone to come in when Wade is out.

I agree with GT3 to look into Martin if bought out (which last report I read was possible if he wasn't traded). If Spo didn't have his head up his ass I would also say resign Beas.

Martin is on a 3 year contract though... I doubt if he gets bought out.

Khem and Dawkins. We already have new pieces to install and continue to integrate Ennis and Tyler. These guys won't complain if they never play. Unless Ray wants to stay home, gets over whatever pissed him off and takes our DPE over Cleveland or Atlanta's min.

I would love to add Bass and Kevin Martin. If we could do that I think were favourites of the East.

One thing I learned today is that Pat doesn't need us to help him do anything with regard to this team.

I thought we were really ****... for a couple years at least... he pulled off a miracle like nothing.

Forget Beasley and Sanders.....especially Sanders, he could be of help defensively but he simply doesnt give a f about the game of basketball

I am annoyed everytime we play Kevin Martin but having him in our side would be nice. Wouldnt mind another youngin take up a spot (Birch or Curry), im sure more names will emerge tho

We need bigs

We have enough guards. Dragic will relieve Wade, I am sure Spo finds a way to keep either Dragic or Wade in the floor

We need a back up PF. I wish McBob could come back. We need a back up C. Birdman'so health I can't trust, Whiteside always has had some issues but thankfully nothing serious

I could see Pat going after Perkins, and maybe Boozer. Lmao those guys together would be a mess, maybe one of those guys

Wouldn't mind T-Rob as a hustle big off the bench if he gets bought out. I think we need a back up 3 as well. I was all aboard giving Ennis more minutes when we sucked but we should be in win-now mode.

A wing that can really hit 3's and a big that can really rebound and defend.

Too early to tell who will shake loose, but we have the DPE to use and Birch and Jones on Skyforce, Beas in Miami, we'll have some options.

I wouldn't mind seeing Beas at the 4 playing alongside Whiteside who can clean up any defensive errors he makes. Could make a decent pairing.

Blatche would be a good backup PF but I thought he was returning to China.

Think about the PFs in the east he'd have to face in the playoffs. He'd get killed down there.

Edit: I keep having brain farts! Beasley would be coming off the bench and be playing backups, not starters lols
