This is the ZORAN Dragi? Thread

I noticed we don't have a Zoran thread. We have Zoran signed for a 2 year contract. I have to say that this fellow looks like he can be a lot of help:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMspiCLnSpoHe loves to play defense. He shoots well from distance, finishes at the rim, & has a great assist to turnover ratio. He has nearly nil NBA experience, but I think if we give him court time we may have a great surprise.

Well I like him as a prospect but you really got carried away there. He distances shooting is suspect as hell, he doesn't pass well or have a good A/T ratio (Even in Europe). He has nice size and plays hard, that's basically it right now. Worth a shot, but he's basically Ennis with a better handle and less athleticism right now. We'll see.

Yes, I think he's very raw, but improving every year. 3 pt shooting was about 33% last year and he missed all of them at Phoenix.
Still, he deserves his own thread.

Throw 100 million dollars for 5 years to a 29 year old pg who only averages 4 assists per game and is not even listed in the top 10 at his position:
http://www.nba.com/2015/news/hca/01/06/the-list-top-10-point-guards/1) Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
2) Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
3) Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers
4) Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors
5) John Wall, Washington Wizards
6) Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
7) Mike Conley, Memphis Grizzlies
8) Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers
9) Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs
10) Jeff Teague, Atlanta Hawks
Any reason why Dragic who averages 16.1 ppg and 4.0 apg deserves to make more than John Wall who averages 17.1 ppg and
10.1 apg or Russell Westbrook who averages
26.1 ppg and 8.0 apg and they both only make 80 million over 5 years??!!
Are you signing his checks or writing his contract?
He's not going to get $100 million from us
in a no sales tax state.

WAIT! It's about Zoran, not Goran. Goran has his own thread.

The Heat scouted Zoran his summer and had interest but he hasn't had his shot yet
We are jammed at the guard spot. I can see him at SF tho. Depends how he looks in practice. If he can play defense it won't even matter if he can shoot
If we had to had a 3 guard line up I wouldn't mind Zoran next to Wade and Goran, or even Rio instead of Wade, cause Rio can shoot 3s now

Oh please, look at his last-season stats, his real stats which what he's capable of before having two ball dominant point guards come into play and making him the wild card and destroying his tempo completely. I do agree the money seems a bit excessive at the moment but it wouldn't be down the road as much.
Anyways, I am excited to see his brother Zoran!

I'd send Ennis to the D-League to learn to dribble first. Give Zoran a chance at SF.

I'm fine with that too .. but if Z is not getting time on the court here, might as well have him ramp up in the DLeague for a week or 2 and then get him back. This is assuming we sign someone to play PF and not have to depend on Deng to pick up the slack there.

Ennis needs serious help in that dept. He has many, many issues with his handles. For someone that does a lot of hesitation dribbles and step backs; he tends keeps himself in a "box" so to speak and he doesn't use any footwork to boost his movement, which is sad because he has a great first step otherwise.
Derrick Rose is the poster child of perfect dribbling footwork.

I bet Zoran & Goran could play together though. Put them on the court and maybe we get a surprise. Who knows?

Have you seen him play ? Suns ? Slovenia ? it's just a question, i dont even an highlight ^^
Dont you want to give him a chance with the Heat to see where he is capable ?

Truth is, he hasn't played in the NBA at all - 12 minutes all year. Even if we are giving him a chance, wont hurt to have him playing some full games before having him play some minutes here. That said, I'm all for giving him a chance.

If we're moving Deng to PF when Haslem has to sit, then Zoran just needs to play better than Ennis and Walker. That doesn't sound impossible.

If Walker doesn't stick I think this should happen due to the chemistry with his bro as well as being able to play fast too
Zoran doesn't have NBA experience but he isn't as raw I don't think. He knows what he is capable of and what to do. Ennis has an identity crisis, but in the end he needs to be a 3 and D player but he isn't consistent yet in that department either

I saw some Sioux Falls highlights of Walker...He doesn't look like an NBA player right now...He looks out of shape and really, really slow.

It depends. Heck I think goran-Zoran-walker isn't too bad either as a line up when the bench comes in
Walker can shoot 3s tho while Zoran can't as good right now.
Ennis doesn't provide enough spacing and I can see him out the rotation soon
