Bosh will be at the Arena? Good sign, he can walk around lmao, I'm guessing he will be attending home games later or even tonight

Hopefully this is a good emotional boost for today, or even the season

In the middle of a playoff push I'm not sure if they would announce something bad... He will probably reiterate the last few weeks what he was going through and his hopes for next season

Bosh to speak for first time since blood clots

Image

Chris Bosh has been out of the public eye since last month’s All-Star Game and has been resting at home after being treated for blood clots in his lungs.

Bosh will be back at AmericanAirlines Arena tonight and will speak to the media for the first time since his medical scare. He is out for the season, but the Heat have said they expect him to make a full recovery.

Bosh’s press conference is scheduled for 6:45 p.m., and you can get updates on Twitter by clicking here, or by coming back to this blog post.

I think he is just being responsible as a major part of Heat organization. He will let us know that he is doing ok.

I don't expect it to be bad news at all... or good news for that matter.

Yeah I just expect it to be a more formal announcement of what we already know, coming from Chris himself.

I was filtering through the Apple event on twitter and I read from a reporter (can't remember the name) that Bosh will be attending his first game since he was at the hospital so he wanted to address all questions from reporters at once rather than having it be a distraction to the team if he is on the bench with his teammates.

This is good news. And like I said before: "I can see how Chris Bosh has a chance of coming back sooner than expected. Even more, if he is monitored very closely. I am willing to give a 50 percent chance of this happening." I am keeping my optimism.

:D

Chris Bosh has been out of the public eye since last month’s All-Star Game and has been resting at home after being treated for blood clots in his lungs. The Heat announced tonight that Bosh will be re-evaluated soon for the possibility of beginning regular exercise. The plan would be for him to resume strength training in April and “full basketball activities” in September.

Miami Heat announce Chris Bosh expected back next season

Two weeks after announcing his season was over because of blood clots on his lung, the Miami Heat announced Monday that Chris Bosh is expected to return in time for the start of next season.

In advance of Bosh addressing the media Monday at AmericanAirlines Arena, the Heat issued a statement that read:

"The Miami HEAT, Thoracic Surgeon Dr. John DeRosimo and team Cardiologist Dr. Ed Neff released the following statement on the health of Chris Bosh:

'Chris Bosh will be re-evaluated this month, and if cleared, may begin regular exercise at that time with plans to start strength training next month. He is scheduled to resume full basketball activities in September.' "

The prognosis is similar to several other athletes who have been impacted by similar clots, including Cleveland Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao, who returned from such an illness with no further impact on his career. Brooklyn Nets forward Mirza Teletovic also is sitting out the balance of this season due to blood clots, also expected to return next season.
