Been saying pick since bosh went down. I know we got Goran, but this season has just felt cursed. The good thing is, were still right there, to keep our pick, even with the dumb win against the hornets.

Utah is ahead of us know, so need the team that finishes 9th in the east to NOT be us lol. My concern is, at 10... A team can still jump us in the lottery, even if it's not likely it can happen. How bad would that suck!!??!

Yeah, we need to finish 9th to pretty much ensure that we keep the pick. Two teams jumping into the lottery over us would be against incredible odds.

What happens if we do the jump, and we get one of the top 3 picks, right now we have 1.1 percent at landing the first. :o

someone posted the odds of your pick based on the histoy of the draft and not the actual lottery probability according to how's its marketed if that makes sense and teams 5-10 have jumped into the top 5 plenty of times. I wish we would just sit everyone. The playoffs are totally irrelevant. I don't think this season has been a losing effort and I don't think anyone in the heat locker room should walk with their head down. We have just had some poor poor luck this entire year.

I'd be happy as heck, but then I'd look at Okafor and say we have Whiteside...then look at Towns and say we have Bosh...then look at Russell and say we have Wade...it'd be weird. Not that I'd have any problem with any of those guys though. Bring'em in!

One of the reasons I like Hezonja for us, is that he could play the two or the three, and spell two guys (Deng/Wade) who need minute reductions. He also gives us much needed spacing, and he also benefits from playing against men overseas.

I don't give a damn about 8th. I genuinely believe if we pulled our **** together we could upset any team in the East... except the Hawks. My worry is that these jinx threads keep popping up and we'll end up out of the playoffs with no pick.

We have Wade for a couple more years at best. We'd have Russell for the next decade+.

ENOUGH OF THIS PRIDE TALK

FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MAKE IT IN JUST BECAUSE OF "PRIDE"

IF THIS TEAM REALLY HAS PRIDE, THEN WHY DIDN'T THEY WIN THAT GAME IN MILWAUKEE? IN DETROIT? AND NOW A 19POINT HALFTIME LEAD AT HOME IN THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THE SEASON?!? WHAT PRIDE ARE YOU TALKIN ABOUT PEOPLE!!! And that's not even counting the previous games earlier on (Magic, Pelicans, Sixers, etc.....all losses that we let it slip!!!)

Please.....open your eyes. If this team had pride then they'd never let themselves be in this position now anyways. THERE ARE PLENTY OF VALID excuses obviously, but despite all of that - we STILL had the chance. Esp against a Boston team that traded Rondo and Green. A Pacers team that was mostly w/o their best player. A Nets team that also had their own struggles. Despite all that, we still had the golden chance to lock that 7th seed and even inch closer to the 6th seed.

But nah......

There always comes a time where you just wave the white flag. You'd hate to do it. You really do. But if the signs aren't telling you enough, then I don't know what will.

Sure, this team can make me (and a lot) look foolish if we miraculously made the playoffs a week from now, but whats the point even if we do so? Pride? LOL

To answer your question: Pick, duh. I would be different if we actually gave a **** especially these past few weeks but same sht keeps happenin over and over and over again. No bueno

Wade is still very much here though, and Russell's usefulness wouldn't be fully expressed for a few years. Would you take Russell over Okafor or Towns if given the choice of the three?

I'd probably take the pick, unless the pick is this guy, then I'd rather we convey it to Philly:

Honestly, I don't see either happening. No way they lose against Philly. Philly wants our pick, and they will put out a line-up of five guys picked at random from the stands if it means ensuring a loss. If Spo doesn't start shutting down the starters, then I can see them falling ass-backwards into another win against either Toronto or Orlando.

just play for the win, which we are not good enough for now...which leads to the pick.
But play for the win,and let pick come by itself..not u go after.

You don't really believe that these threads affect the outcome of games, do you?
