Chin up Heat fans, our team is down for now but we will have a formidable team in the very near future. This was a disastrous season, but oddly enough we come out of it with some great pieces that we can absolutely build on. Lets go Heat!!!!!

We did not deserve to make the Playoffs. The Sixers game at home, the Wolves game, the Pistons game, the Bucks game and every single **** 3rd quarter of the season. And no, injuries are not the main reason why. It's the coaching. It has always been. Running the same brand of basketball as in the Big Three era as if nothing happened in the summer caused this ****. No Bosh? Awful bench? We still had Dragic, Wade, Deng and Whiteside and couldn't come out on top in a Playoffs race where we battled a Pacers team without Paul George, a messy Nets team and a Celtics team whose best players are Isaiah Thomas, Jared Sullinger and Evan **** Turner.

Just came on here to show my support for the rest of the guys who like me never thought about tanking. It sucks for us now, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Either playoffs or nothing as far as I'm concerned.

But now as we are lottery bound let's hope to pull a 2008 Bulls and get the top pick.

That's Riley's boy, he's here for as long as Riley is running the team, maybe longer.

We have a great core now is the time to stand as a band of brothers fellow Miami Heat fans we are Heat Lifers. Next year is going to be great, and if we get our lottery pick, we get a great piece for us that can potentially help our bench.

I posted this in the general discussion topic, and felt like this would be a good place and time to re-post this post and vent.

Damn. I was never pro-tank. No matter how good it would have been to get our pick. I always had faith and never thought this would happen to a team that had so much to prove after LBJ left.

Not gonna lie. The last few losses hurt. Even if it was for the better. Playoffs won't be the same without White Hot. Even though I, and a few others have been spoiled with this great run we have had over the last 4 years, and our track record as a franchise in general, missing the play offs still hurts, Blacking out from basketball from late April-training camp is going to suck. Honestly, I could give a rats ass about who wins the title if the Heat isn't in the mix during the post season. 6 months of no Heat basketball on my television, and 3 months before we hear any news (free agency) blows. This is where I feel like my emotional investment as a fan is a bit to much lol. Even though tanking will be better in the long run than ending up in no-mans land 9th seed, either way, the results will still be the same (no White Hot Heat).

Getting to watch your team for those 4+ extra games in the play offs as a fan really means something now that we have missed it.

Here's to hoping we luck out in the lottery (if we don't end up in no-man's land that is).

Let's get the pick, nail it, stay healthy next season and be a **** good team. Whiteside-Bosh-Deng-Wade-Dragic + 10th Pick is something to get excited about.

Bad season but not a bad franchise

Worse season since 2007/08, thats a long time ago

Crap happens, but we need some new faces and our vets to be more balanced. This team didnt stay still, due to Pat moving pieces. I honestly thought Pat was going to stay put with what we had and wait in the summer, because I didnt think anyone would want our trash. Welp, Dragic says he wants out, Pat gets another disgruntled player who changes our team

Dragic and Bosh will be excellent. Best pick and pop guard (one of them atleast) next to the best pick and pop player.

We'll be fine. Get some more experience but not washed up talent on the bench and the unit should work well. Hopefully the lotto and draft works in our favor and we can add one of the three talented wings (mario, justise, and SJ) to our core. I think we're only missing the shumpert/gerald green type guys on the bench, athletes who run the floor and space it -which is our biggest need right now at the wings. I would trade Mario to anyone who can take our hands off him and make Shabazz and TJ fight it out for backup PG. I feel like TJ is more of the Norris Cole type in finals years than a Wade backup. He just goes in there and makes things hectic with his athleticism. We need G/F's

Next-Season

This season hurt, but we will have an amazing team next year, and I hope that in the end, Spo really is affected by this and takes the summer to retool his philosophy like he did after the Dallas loss. He needs to come up with a new system now that we have a much more traditional team with Whiteside.

Will be interested to see what we're able to do with the draft pick if we get to keep it. I don't know who in this draft would help us for next year, but maybe we can get an asset to put in a trade to upgrade on the wing. I can't think off hand who we could go after with a draft pick in a trade because the guys like Jimmy Butler and Leonard that would really fit with us, probably aren't available plus I think they are free agents.
