It's Wednesday ... time to rank DWade.

Same parameters as the previous threads. Factoring in both offense and defense, where do you rank Wade among NBA SGs?

James Harden
Jimmy Butler
Dwyane Wade

Top 3: Harden, Wade, Thompson. The order can be argued but Wade is top 3 Imo.

No way is Jimmy Butler better than Klay Thompson. Klay averaged 22pts in around 32 minutes Butler averaged 20pts in 38 minutes! Offensively their production isn't comparable. If the Warriors weren't so dominant he would've averaged 24-25pts per game.

Top 3, healthy- I'd take him at 1

So, he's a top 3 SG, but we are balking at giving him the contract to match? I know 2016 cap flexibility, declining health & all, but dang: maybe we are just taking him for granted?

Since always, still the best player on the team. I wish I wasn't a Heat fan so I could root for him to leave and have ungrateful fans watch him flourish but alas I couldn't bare the latter and couldn't bare it for the Heat fans that are worthwhile

Top 5, can be #1 depending on the stretch.

Only Harden, Thompson and Butler can match his production, and some of those need a lot more minutes to do it. Kobe would still be up there if his legs gave him justice, but Wade would be #1 given the same.

Top 3. Always about health with Wade in terms of him being THE best SG and a top 8 caliber player.

If you factor in offense, defense top 3. The problem is that's only when he is on the court and healthy. That's maybe 20-30 games a year at this point.

We can't do a Lakers and just give him loyalty money. We have mortgaged our future 1st round picks, so we can't afford to be mediocre for the next 3-4 years. I am pretty sure Riley is trying to sell, yet again, to Wade the opportunity to compete versus getting the highest paycheck. Problem is I don't think Wade really wants to continue giving up money for "the cause", because that's what he has done his entire career here.

There really isn't a right or wrong, here. I just hope they figure things out. But as a fan, you have to realize that giving Wade near the 20 mill a year he wants basically puts us in basketball purgatory for the duration of that contract. I am sure everyone here would love to pay Wade what he wants if it let us still go after free agents and improve the team. Sadly, you can't do both.

He's the 3rd best of all time.

I'll rank James Harden, Klay Thompson, and Jimmy Butler currently ahead of him, but that's it. I'll put Wade at #4, Kobe at #5.

No, declining health is a major problem in terms of contract value. Let's say his performance warrant 20 million a year, assuming he plays all 82 games. Then him missing 25 is gonna reduce that value already.

Honestly, the only reason he's top 3 or top 5 is because the shooting guard position has become weak with the decline of Wade and Kobe, so let's not pretend as if top 3 or top 5 SG means that much.

Wanted to put top 5 just to be safe, but screw it - I'm a Wade stan, top 3 it is (Harden, Thompson).

That being said, his health is really an issue here so factoring that in, you could argue he isn't that high anymore. To be fair, a lot of two-guards missed time this year so I think top 3 is still justified. Hell, fully healthy I'd take him over Klay too.

The issue with ranking Wade at this point is that his impact fluctuates way more then any other top SG.

When fully healthy, in rhythm, and motivated (playoffs), He's easily top 3 with Harden and Klay.

When he's off the court (injured), just came back from injury (lacks rhythm), or coasting (boring mid season games), his impact drastically drops.

So I'm not ranking him, Im just hoping we get to the playoffs healthy, once we do he can beast against any other SG. He just can't sustain it for an entire season anymore.

Currently Top 3 but Wade is the best SG if he's healthy..

People get so freaked out by injuries and thinking that he's done. But last season he was top 3.
