Dragic/Chalmers/Napier
Wade/TJ/Zoran/Richardson
Deng/Winslow/Ennis/Walker
Bosh/Mcroberts/UD
Whiteside/Birdman
I see we got some old legs going.
Dragic 29
Wade 33
Deng 30
Bosh 31
Hassan Whiteside 26
Then on bench you got Chalmers 29, Birdman 36, McRoberts 28, Haslem 35
Does the age of this team worry you? I feel like we could be into another injruy prone season. Those players cant play heavy minutes.

You got 16 players there.
To add JJ Barrea & another backup Center, you need to subtract three from that list.
Most likely it will be Chalmers, Birdman, Walker.
I think even Napier and Ennis could be gone

Dragic is very low mileage Russell Westbrook who was drafted during the same draft has almost 2 seasons more mileage on him if you look at their total minutes played. Dragic was a backup who barely played during the start of his career. He's got a lot left in him he'll be fine.
Wade and Deng are old no way around that, with that said Deng played 72 games last year it would've been more if we didn't intentionally sit him in the last game. Plus if the worst happens we have a 19 year old Justise winslow lying and waiting.
Bosh has had a relatively healthy career especially when he was here. He often played in more games than LeBron and Wade during our big 3 years. His prognosis was good, I'm sure the Heat will take preventative measures to keep this from happening to Bosh again.
Whiteside: come on now our 26 year old beast has the NBA mileage of rookie.
Last season our injuries were so devastating because we had no guard dept. So we were insanely dependent on Wade as a result he had the 2nd highest USG% in the league. When he went down everything went to s**t we had to rely on Chalmers and Cole to create for us which made Bosh and Whiteside much less effective.
This season we aren't nearly as dependent on Wade's health. If he misses a game we still have Dragic and Justise can step up. Last season our guard play was the worst in the league when Wade was hurt. That won't be the case this season.

Bosh's game will age pretty well, especially when you have a monster like Whiteside beside him. Dragic as quiz mentioned, has a lot of mileage on him as well so that's a plus. I also don't think Deng will be with us in 2016, so that will give us wiggle room next off-season.

Dragic/Napier/ TJ
Wade/Winslow/Zoran/Richardson
Deng/Ennis/Winslow
Bosh/McRoberts/ Haslem
Whiteside/Andersen/??
I think Rio and possibly Andersen are gone. Richardson may get sent to Sioux Falls. Barea and Boozer are possibilities.

Bird will be traded or wont be here the year after so its whatever
UD may not be utilized often (I hope not.... We need to stop
Bosh can age well. Its always guards you have to worry about when it comes to age. Dragic I am not worried about, like others said he has low mileage.
Wade, well obviously you can see why we dont want to pay him 4/80
Apparently we may get Barea? Thats age 31 there.
If we have a bench of Winslow, Richardson, McBob, we got some mix of youth, plus Whiteside
Its better than last season, where we had Granger... And Spo trying to play him at the 4, it was terrible. Those days of putting OLD guys at the stretch 4 (who are t meant to play PF) look over, so I am happy about that

Our shooting was poor last season, where does that improvement come from? Bosh and McRoberts? It seems like we need to add a shooter on the wing to complete our roster. I love the addition of Winslow but his current strengths are defense and playing in transition.

Winslow isnt some dead eye shooter but was decent from 3 in college and hopes to improve on that
Winslow, Richardson, McBob would be in theory our new shooters. Barea really isnt that great from 3 but if he backs up Dragic I assume he will take some shooting too

Well yeah the starting line up is an issue. Dragic, Bosh and Deng will have to shoot the 3's... The spacing I would think honestly isnt great, people dont treat Deng as a threat
I can see Spo using a lot of small ball. Bosh-McBob/Deng-Winslow-Wade-Dragic

and we can pick and roll and pick and pop them to death. Whilst the Darkside kills their interior wishes.

lack of outside shooting is going to be a huge issue all year. I'm really surprised they have made no attempt to upgrade that, and in fact seem committed to no addressing the issue (barrea). It's going to result in a ton of one on one hero ball

I partly agree, 3 point shooting is likely to be an issue for parts of the season, but I think the hope is that instead of trying to get 3 point specialist (that we couldn't afford anyway if they're really great shooters) - that 3 point shooting will come from within, and while we won't be a great 3 point shooting team, we might be average but with great defense.
Guys like Winslow, Richardson, Bosh, Mcbob, Dragic, TJ are all capable of being decent-good shooters, but more importantly they can do that while not being one dimensional and providing above average defense and playmaking.

That's where bench depth becomes vital for us, it's the only real issue we have apart from 3pt shooting.
I for one am loving the ages of our players, just at that right age......we have sufficient experience and veteran savvyness. But it also makes our window for a title more limited w/ this core. We're in a nice position though & am sure Riley is loving who we have right now seeing how he loves himself veterans......it's now on him to surround them w/ necessary talent off the bench to make us a solid squad.

Except that we're supposed to be trying to pick up the pace. Old guys and running up and down don't mix well. They don't mix well with our defense either.

We aren't going to turn into Nash's Suns, in D'Antoni's 7 seconds or less offense. It's been stated that it's unlikely we will run every opportunity.....the faster system will be incorporated with our half court offense - we will mix it up as part of a repertoire. Goran will adjust, he'll be fine. He has a high IQ & very selfless.....any obstacles he will figure around them i'm sure.
In regards to defense....what we currently have now is vastly better than what we had last season, offensively and defensively - it ain't even close. I don't think anybody will complain w/ how this team is shaping up and if you are then you're on the opposing side of Riley & the Heat org. I'll put my faith in them than fan opinions.

Somebody needs to post the Riley statement about veterans vs rookies/youngens in regards to Championships.
This is a win now approach, you do not win titles w/ rookies and players that need to be developed. We are contending for the next 2-3 seasons, you best get used to seeing plenty of veteran presence. In the Heat Big 3 era we had nothing but 'old' vets did we not!
