Richardson signed for $2.5 over 3 years

The first year is guaranteed and there is a partial on the second. There is no breakdown on Hoppshype which reported this on how the salary is allocated each year.

If that happens, we will have his bird rights and he will be an RFA for the beginning of 2018-9 and we'll look very smart. I'm not going to say "elite". I really haven't seen enough to be convinced about Richardson, but (like everyone) I am hopeful.

We have yet to see this kid run the point with Whiteside Bosh Wade and Deng as options... he will be more than fine.

Our management is super high on this kid, I hope he's as good as they believe. Having a guy like Richardson playing a large role off the bench could really change my view on our current and future SG/SF positions.

wow! it's weird for our front office to offer multi year deal for a 2nd rounder.. They are really high on him.. I hope J-Rich delivers, we badly need 3 and D guys on our roster.. Best of luck

Wow, Elite...already?
Hell our entire team are yet to play significant minutes together let alone a rook, who is yet to play an NBA game, but expect him to be elite......
I'm just hoping he can be solid & consistent and be that defensive guy off the bench.

He D's for sure. Not confident about the 3's . Then again, he is likely to be our 3rd SG behind Wade and Winslow.
I look forward to a successful D-League run from him.

Love Josh Richardson, and understand why the heat are so high on his potential. But all of this positivity from fans is based on summer league. You guys really think summer league is any indication? Its amazing, the attitude towards J-rich right now, and Justise is switched. Due to summer league....the insanity of it all.
