Offseason thread 1: Who's your new team?It is with great sadness and unspeakable pain in my stomach that I have to inform you all about death of the Miami Heat. Our team has been disbanded due to a random reason: Pat Riley ordered a hit on James; the league found us guilty of tampering; or they just think we're too good and it's not fair to the rest of NBA... Whatever the case, the Heat are no more, our players/coaches/staff aren't allowed to migrate to another franchise.
You miss being a fan; to cheer and curse, to cry and laugh, to get chills or thrills while watching
your team. With the Heat gone,
who do you chose as your new NBA team? Why?

Blake Griffin is an absolute beast and the Clippers vs Spurs series from last year was the best first round series I had ever seen. The Clipps are underdogs year after year, no one takes them seriously as contenders and they get a ton of hate for flopping, complaining, etc. They kinda remind me of our big 3 Heat teams in a way, though we were better obviously

Chicago Bulls. Been a Bulls fan since Jordan era and am a big Rose fan.

The Lakers out west and the Knicks/Nets up north (born and raised in Brooklyn--I still root for them). I still root for these teams.

That would be rough. I really can't see myself liking any other team other than the Heat. I would have to pick an Eastern Conference team, because as much as I enjoy the Warriors, I won't stay up until 1am every night to watch a game. I guess it would be somewhere between the Bulls and the Wizards, maybe even Brooklyn. I could never see myself following Cleveland.

Can't see myself rooting for another team. I would just player watch (like AD, this year's rookies, Westbrook, Curry, etc.)

I guess the Orlando Magic since they are in our home state.
(can you even imagine Orlando with an NBA team but not Miami?

I would probably stop watching basketball as faithful as I do. I love the game but I would probably just watch the Finals at that point.

If I was younger it'll be the bulls no question not even for basketball reasons but because of space jam lol. But today i'd probably be a Magic or a pistons fan.
