Forget Melo, the SF we need is no other than PG.

Paul George. Seems like everyone has forgotten about this guy. Seems like only yesterday he was Posterizing Birdman and going Head to head with LBJ.

He is young, he is the 3rd best SF in the league. He is an excellent defender. He would instantly be the Franchise player.

Contract? He will be a FA in 2 years. But I think he can be had next year if the pacers miss the playoffs this year. He has a player option on 3rd year which he will no doubt opt out for the new TV money. Bird won't wanna lose him for nothing.

Deng Mcbob Justise first would be ideal. But that isn't gonna get it done. To land him, we would need to spice it up.

Dragic, Justise possibly Mcbob and a first.

This is players league. If he wants to be in Miami he will be.

Melo forced his way to New York.

All it takes is pacers sucking CHECK
Contract nearing its end CHECK
And receiving team has good assets CHECK

PG's contract is not even close to an end, the earliest he can become a FA is 2018. Melo forced his way to NYK during a year he'd become a FA. If he was smart, then he could've gone there without the Knicks giving up all those quality pieces and there's no way Bird would trade us PG.

Well if you don't go for 40 in every game in the preseason and win all of them with huge margin, you are obviously trash.

Never mind that Dragic can score 16+ points in his sleep if he want's to, low scoring in preaseason games and he is reduced to being a trade filler.

And Justise, he can't shoot well, trade him. It's not like you can learn to shoot better, that's just talking crazy.

George is coming off some rather serious injuries, and is on a fairly lucrative long term contract. I also am not sure about his mentality the last few years. I'd rather keep Dragic, who I actually like, and Winslow who is farther away from his ceiling than PG.

Also. I don't want Melo unless we're giving up practically nothing.

I'd rather maintain cap flexibility, develop what we have, and make a run at a top free agent next summer.

I agree the PG would be the ideal fit here, in every way.

But sadly I also agree he's not attainable, Indy got him chained down.

I have to admit that i would really love having PG on this team. He is that two way player that would fit perfectly. He would be getting under Bron's skill every time. :)
