i'm asking because yesterday night he had a career high in rebounds.what if he fits in to that role with us? do you think this is just one time thing or could be a new role for him.it is known that the heat have been had issues with rebounding when hassan is either out or not 100 percent so i think this new role could be just what the doctor ordered for the heat.any thoughts

Maybe Rodman light. I mean, he's still a rook, shows great promise/poise.
I still see him potentially becoming a Kawhi-type player near the future. Rodman was a different animal defensively. He would sacrifice his body on every possession, very unique player.
Winslow always showed great attributes driving to the rim/bullying himself in, just needs to polish finishing around the rim. He's already comfortable (now) shooting the 3 ball, just not consistent, which is okay for now.
Once he figures out his O, watch out.

We had LeBron who was a better rebounder than most SF's at about 8 rebs a game and we where still the worst rebounding team in the league before Hassan. I think Justise can be a good positional rebounder but not Dennis Rodman. He's a perimeter defender first and foremost.

My comparison for Justise prior to the draft was Jimmy Butler, I'm sticking by it. Shows that same athleticism, motor, strength, willingness to use his body to penetrate. Butler wasn't a great shooter or a playmaker initially, but showed promise. Winslow shows the same promise from time to time.
I think his upside is Jimmy Butler with better rebounding and worse playmaking.

I think Justise has a little weird in him, let's just hope he's not into suede dresses

I think he's more Kawhi than Jimmy. I think Justise can be a better defensive player than Jimmy but not nearly as good at creating his own shot as Jimmy. Jimmy also has much better form on his jumper compared to Justise

I can go with that as well. Kawhi and Jimmy are quite similar players anyway. Differences being dribble penetration (Butler) vs. post game (Kawhi), rebounding (Kawhi) and playmaking (Butler). I think Justise is more likely to excel at dribble penetration and is a great athlete so that's why I'm going with Butler.

Agreed very similar players and probably in 5 years Winslow will be considered his own type. I just don't see Justise ever becoming the off the dribble threat Jimmy has become. Again splitting hairs, as long as he can become a solid to good offensive player, he will be considered one of the better wing players in the game

Justice is an underrated passer/playmaker. He doesnt get to run plays with this team because his ballhandling needs work and there are far better options than him but he has shown some nice dishes with good court vision this season. He is also really quik in his decision making. I think he will be a good second ballhandler on this team in a couple of years.
Im really excited about his future and we are lucky to have him here.

I agree, Justise is underrated in terms of play-making and passer as well.

Justise has some potential as a play-maker, just needs to work on his handle.

Wade himself said that Justice's game as it is right now reminds him of a Metta World Peace.

Rodman dedicated himself entirely in rebounding, defending and doing all the things nobody else wanted to do. Rodman was a beast in that sense. He was also some what of an irritant, not as far as Bruce Bowen but he was known to play that role.
I think what Wade meant by Ron Artest is Winslows toughness and no fear attitude. As a 19yo rook dude has already guarded some of the best and does not back down. All of this is great experience for the kid.
I don't want to compare him to anybody. I think he can carve up his own path and a reputation attached to his very name. He looks like the type w/ good work ethic so it's only a matter of time we see if he improves in other aspects of his game. What's important is how we approach his development. Tasting the playoffs atmosphere and having that under his belt will be a valuable experience for the kid. I very much look forward to seeing him develop and improve.

Justise comparisons have always been around Kawhi/Jimmy/PG, even Artest but I remember him saying he doesn't want to be compared and will just go out there and be him. This kid has the physical and mental tools to get there, just hope he continues the learning curve. His mindset/awareness at this age is so advanced that it's scary man. Once he figures it out, no doubt he will be a beast in the league
He won't magically develop a J this season or whatever, but I'm looking forward to his further development in the next few years. Thanks, Khris Middleton

He's Kawhi 2.0 once he gets an offensive game, dude even has the emotion-less aura to him like Kawhi.
