Man what a frustrating stint Josh McRoberts has had as a Miami Heat. Been in Miami for a year and a half, but be injured i believe equivalent to more than a season of NBA games. He currently resting for a permanent bruise. Im guessing the Heat will force him on the court in the coming days, to at least savior some trade value in him. Ethan Skolnick believers we will not see McRoberts in a Heat uni again, at least this yr. When do you think we will see McRoberts again?

Is there any evidence that Josh McRoberts really exists? Has anyone ever seen him ?

mcroberts has been a clear disappointment for me because i thought that this team was suited for his passing/3 point shooting/defense and dunking abilities but i dont think it'll ever pan out because of the system.i dont think that he is the right player for a half set slow offensive/defensive type of basketball.
as it is,he should be playing with the D-leaguers once he is healed up

We signed McRoberts after being eviscerated by the Spurs' front court passing. He was a good signing. He's just been really unhealthy.

Walker used all the fossil fuel he could muster out of those braids for that game(week), that was fun

No he sucks and he's wasting our cap space. I have no problem with him being on the team this year but I don't want him on the books long term which is why are wanted so desperately to trade him before the season started, before he got hurt again back when he still had value.
Before the season started we probably could've gotten a 2nd rounder for him... now we're going to have to give up assets to unload his sorry ass.

If only Riley knew Lebron will not sign back, McBob might not be in a Heat uniform.
Dumping McBob's contract is a must to add to Miami's cap space but problem is, Heat needs to package an asset to get it done.

Still not convinced he's alive.

Here's a way we can get an immediate roster space (for a minimum player). If McRoberts does not come back and show possibilities of helping the team, we waive him and use the Stretch Provision.
http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q66This year's salary is paid as is. Remaining salary would be paid over 2*2 + 1 = 5 years, essentially 11,803,625/5 = $2,360,725 per year.
He can grace the roster of another club and we'll move on. This gives us $3,421,725 more cap space in the off season. If we do this, we don't have to lose an asset (like a non-existent first round pick).

Deng, Birdman, and McBob are making a combined $20.7 million this season. At least the first two are expiring.
If we want to make noise in 2016 FA this bum gotta go. He's making the MLE doing absolutely nothing on the court.

Here is the effect of using the stretch provision on Josh McRoberts:

First set of numbers are our 2016 salary cap woes with Mr. McRoberts.
Second set of numbers are our 2016 salary cap woes (better) stretching him.
Incidentally, this is the effect of the salary on the cap. He will be paid on time (usually).

Non of you should ever invest in the stock market.
The concept of selling low totally eludes you for some reason.
