I thought this might take a bit longer, but I can dig it... man. That move brought us some real notice.

Ended a bit ugly, but those first 3 years were pretty damn good. Should have been MVP that first year with us.

Makes sense 10 years after he helped bring us our first championship.

Chris Quinn, no doubt, signed off on the move.

The way he went out was wrong but what he did when he was here and the steps he took this franchise shoudn't go unnoticed by Pat. First class move by an organization that keeps showing the sports world, why they are one of the best and continue to be year after year. The title are of course major but things we will never forget......When we got Shaq, when we got Wade/Bosh and when we got LeBron....Those took us from good franchise to elite...

Still one of the greatest athelets ive ever come in contact with. He treated me like a rock star ever time I met him and those things will never go unnoticed. I for one don't care what anyone says, Shaq is one of the best off the court/field/clay or w/e in the hisotry of sports.

Guarantees that we're going to have a lot of laundry hanging out to dry. Stuff like this diminishes the honor.

I disgreee. Shaq is a huge part of NBA gisotry and ours.

Chris Bosh will end up being a 2 time champion, 6 time all star with Miami....and still counting.....

Shaq is not a big part of Heat history. He was key to winning 1 title ... and was a problem child in 2 of his 3 1/2 seasons. And in his 3 1/2 years here, he was very good, but hardly dominant.

If we retire this clown's jersey, we may as well rename the entire franchise for Lebron. :nonono:

I don't mind his jersey being retired.....

Everyone marveled at his acquisition and he did bring a chip.
Same with James and Bosh.

This organization is very high class.

I expect Wade, Bosh, Lebron, and Haslem jersey to be retired as well.

maybe winslow in the future.

Responding to your post on the GB:

He does deserve to be in the conversation with Lebron. Before Shaq, Miami was never really a title contender. Had it not been for injuries to both him and Wade, an argument can be made that they would have made it to the finals their first 2 seasons together, and Shaq was near the end of his prime...whereas, Lebron was in the peak of his. That is pretty impressive.

That's rich considering how Lebron wanted special treatment for his posse and family. Look at what he has done in Cleveland. He's no Boy scout.

I guess we're retiring Lebron after all.

1. I'm no fan of Lebron's, and don't want his jersey hung either.

2. Shaq accomplished less than 1/2 as much here as Lebron.

So no, they don't belong in the same conversation.

Maybe even Antoine Walker and Jason Williams.
