Turns out it's impossible to get a vine of Joe Johnson playing defense.

Hi.

This may be the most important game left in terms of playoff seeding/tiebreakers. Would be awful nice for the Heat to have the season series over the Hornets :)

Please get this W. Have some confidence going into the Cleveland game and smack them. Hornets are going to gun from 3 so we better get out on their shooters. Big games from Wade Dragic and Deng and we should be fine as long as the bench keeps it up.

Um, OP...I noticed you excluded McRoberts from your bench mob. Let me be of some assistance :)

Now updated with Tuesday results!

Image

We play Charlotte:

Image

Strategic situation:

The Heat did themselves a big favor by beating Denver. It transferred the pressure to the Bobcats and Hawks who now have to perform well to keep pace. Charlotte plays the Magic Wednesday night and we have two days off, time for some badly needed healing for Wade. The Hawks have a road game with Detroit Wednesday night before their Thursday match up with the high-scoring Nuggets. I think they might have trouble with Denver even at home where Atlanta has been very good (21-12).

As for our race with the Celtics, this is not an easy week for Boston either, facing the Pacers (away) (THEY LOST!!!) , Thunder (home), and Raptors (in Toronto). Don't get too excited, though, because next week when we trek off to play the Pelicans and Spurs on a back-to-back, the Celtics get the 76ers and Magic before Toronto challenges them. The last two games are home games where the Celtics are almost invincible (only the Rockets broke the streak). The following week they head out West (from Mar 26 to Apr 3) for 5 games. In fact, our road trip to the West (only 3 games but in 4 nights) overlaps theirs.

Anyway, this is a vital win, for it accomplishes two purposes: (1) it's a direct confrontation with the Hornets who are a playoff competitor and (2) it can potentially help us to snip away at the Celtics if they misstep.

So, let's get the win!!!

Here are the relevant schedules/records of our competitors:

Potentially the last match of the year may be a decisive game with the Celtics.

True. I have less hope for that one though, since they already own the tiebreaker.

Frank Kaminsky is truly a force to be reckoned with. He is a senior with upside. His intangibles are out of this world. He is a winner in every sense of the world. Frank Kaminsky is the defeater of the undefeated, the 2015 Naismith College Player of the Year. The great white hope.

Here you can see Pat Riley admitting that he wanted Frank before he was stolen away from us: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xv4vF-IK8BI&feature=youtu.be&t=9m18s

:nonono:

This game will be difficult from start to finish. Our only hope is that Charlotte's coach Steve Clifford continues to hold Frank back.

Even still I hope Spo comes up with a very detailed game plan just in case. We're going to need one if we hope to contain the beast that is Frank the tank.

Let's go Heat!!!

Maybe we won't need the tiebreaker because we won't be tied if we win. I have us within 3 games either way (above or below). Boston won't struggle, but they have some challenging games. That west coast jaunt is 5 games and includes Clippers, Trailblazers, and Warriors. Trailblazers and Warriors are a back to back. They have 2 games with Toronto and an away game with the Hawks who might be fighting fiercely for home court advantage.

We shall see!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. We need to win a lot of games first!
