Well, they beat our board average which is good

They were better than what most people saw on paper in the summer. That really good preseason they had also turned out to not be flukey once everyone got healthy.

The Knicks of last year won 32 wins, they finished #13 in the East, and got the # 7 pick in the draft (owed to Denver).

I feel like this guy was basically a Knicks loss and a slight Dragic/Waiters shot distribution off picking the whole season (though I'd like to think we'd have put up a better playoff fight)

The heat lack a superstar talent, but so do so many other teams in the top heavy NBA. In addition, this team is going to play hard every regular season game; a trend not often seen in season's past.

2) Will we make the playoffs this year? If yes - what seed will we be?

Yes, 7th seed.

3) Who will be our top 4 leading scorers, and what will their PPG be?

Waiters: 20 ppg (he will get the shots)
Whiteside: 17 ppg
Dragic: 16 ppg
Richardson: 12 ppg

4) Who will be our best overall new addition (new at Miami)?

Waiters (he came here to get a big money contract and will have a career year)

5) Who will be our best overall young player (not including Whiteside)?

Bosh. He needs to just let us hang his jersey in the rafters, stop risking his life, and quit hating on the Heat.

After that Tyler Johnson. I hate to say that cuz I want him to succeed, but due to the contract he just got, he is expected to step his game up to a level he likely can't.

8) What trades will we end up doing during the year (or even before the season starts)?

No major moves. This season is going to be for evaluating talent. If TJ ends up disappointing, it is possible Riley tries to trade him for whatever he can get.

9) What will be the biggest surprise of the season? (positive or negative or both)

Whiteside and Waiters showing maturity.

10) What will our board posters write about Spo once this season is over?

By the end of the year, Spo will turn this team into a team we see a future to build around.

The most important part of this year will be whether the key players can show the maturity to build future seasons around. This can be further defined as: the team showing it can gel, the team winning enough games to make the playoffs, and the players actually putting in the hard work to win games (like Heat teams of old with Zo.)

Dragic and Whiteside and TJ were all better than I expected. Waiters was excellent in the games he played.

Reed will be a reliable backup center. Williams will also play well.
One for two isn't bad. Best overall addition was James Johnson though, followed by Dion Waiters.

I'm going with TJ, but Winslow & JRich will also play well. Look out for Weber too who will play well if he gets minutes.

I'm claiming this right. Had a lot of close games at the start of the season. Were even sitting guys for what I thought were "injuries"...should have stuck with the plan.

Well I clearly didn't see the schedule as there were no late season Bulls@Heat games, but we did beat them later in the year and Wade was in a suit late in the year and the Bulls did get to the playoffs on a tie breaker with us. I claim this as right!

Shewasfly has been mostly absent this year, but only because deep down in her heart she knows Riley was right!

Success = deep playoff run, high lotto pick or acquiring a whale to build around.
Failure = out of the playoffs and a crap draft pick or first round fodder.

We could have gotten 43 wins and 7th seed. But I'm happy with what we did. We had a few games in closing week's that could have gone either way. Certainly a healthy moon would have changed things. This year is a success for our players program and future recruitment.

I had us winning the Celtics (2.seed) but going out against Toronto or Indy who I thought would be much better than they were.
