Here goes Panda's favorite Frakka Star. Had some nice dunks and timely scoring outbursts in the beginning of the season/preseason.
We are bound to see him become a solid bench player hot from 3 all the time for the Celtics somehow.

Thought he looked good early in the season, then just became trigger happy with his shot and went cold.

He was so promising in the preseason. Shame that he couldn't deliver in the real thing.

its going to be interesting to see how Green does with the Celtics. I think he tried with us but never ever felt comfortable. at the end he rarely saw the court. Really disappointed he didn't use his athleticism and aggressiveness to his benefit. But I tell you what if he looks great next year then my doubts about our coaching staff will resurface, just saying.
Wish him all the best. Now that he seems more mature maybe round 2 in Boston will be as good as round 1. When he was drafted Celtics looked at his a s their future, fans here (Boston) loved him.

BTW Green is the perfect example of a player that never 'put it together".
He can shoot,
He's athletic,
He's healthy,
Has good size,
But it just never clicks.
Lack of BB IQ, lack of vision, not confident, too streaky, off the court issues. If you put Battier's brain inside Green, He's a 10 time Allstar.
With us I really think trying to play defense (really try hard) for the first time in his career, took him out of rhythm on offense. Won't be surprised if he has a very good year in Boston.

this is not the sort of send off a classy organization like ours gives.
Green was never going to thrive here. Miami too disciplined for a player who needs to have a longer leash to be able to do what he does. Considering Spo put a leash on Deng & Dragic for half of the season, & they only thrived once they were both unleashed, Green was never really going to have any chance here. I loved Greens improvements on defense. It's too bad they couldn't reward or emphasize on that more. I think w/ Wade gone Green could have been given more opportunities. I'm sure he'll get more in Boston.
I never really gave up on Green. He'll have a better season back as a Celtic!
Peace G.

Was he really that good last season or more in jest? His stats don't look impressive. Glad to see him come home though

These appreciation threads go up for everyone. As for Green, we pretty much got our $1,356,000 worth.

We brought him on to make 3's. He didn't make any 3's.
