Suns fan here - just wondering what your thoughts are on this guy, is he good, can he pass, does he get other players involved, do you want to keep him etc?

Any responses muchos appreciated

Lol  yeah dragic is good but he is not the type of player that thrives with another alpha male on the team on the court at the same time.also he likes to run because he is as his best when he runs

He's a good player, not bad nor a star. He can pass a bit and score, can do just do everything you want out of a PG at a solid level. I'm sure most Heat fans want to keep him, but I rather trade him because his age doesn't line up with this team's window.

Decent player, doubt he can be a part of contender

Cheers - about what I expected. Not the second coming of anyone very special but a decent to good player.

It would be good to see what he's like with a little more talent around him but not too much like you said.

I think he'd great as a third option on a team that lacks a good PG. I know the Spurs don't have the assets to get it done, but Goran would do well in San Antonio

Dragic
Green
Kawhi
LMA
Pau

That team could **** around and win a title this year.

You won't win a title with such a slow-footed front court.

He's improved upon his 3 point shooting this season which is paramount to his value in today's NBA. Dragic has impressed me this year but ultimately I think Mia would be best served to move him while his value is high. PG seems like it's the deepest position in the league and the draft is rich with more PG talent.

very efficient for a PG & his 3point shooting is better
needs to get more free throws

I've seen Dion waiters make better passes, that's not a credit to Dion. What he does he does well but he has put vision and is only quick with moves involving only himself and scoring. He does not make anyone else better. He gets frustrated on d and gets silly fouls and abused by attackers.

Overall his athleticism is too good to be that poor an defence. With the right training and development he could have been great but the heat are not about that teaching business. He has not grown here. Still Needs the right system and coaching to maximize his talents.

He's the best PG in the east.

With his December stats* a case could be made that he's in the top 5 guard in the east. But it's not really that imporant where he ranks as long as he plays like has.

* I was comparing everyone's December stats, not just his December stats with stats of other players from all season.

He's cool, not a star but not bad either. 16 and 6 guy on a good team, 20 and 6 guy as the number one on a bad team.

That's not to say that he's an empty stats guy. He lead a really bad team to a .500 record this season. So he will produce wins as your best player but there's a ceiling to how good that kind of team can be.

As far as him being the PG on a contender, he'd be awesome on the Spurs or Rockets imo so it really depends on the type of team that it is.

For example put him on the Cavs in place of Kyrie and I think he struggles to average 12 and 5.

That's a good point, Quiz. I think he would struggle in Kyrie's role, which seems to require a lot of iso. He might rack up more assists with all those shooters Cleveland has, but I think his scoring efficiency would probably suffer.
