What could that get us? A second rounder and some BS? I'm assuming we'd want all that salary off the books after this year.

Spoiler:

Los Angeles sends the 1st from Houston.

No way in hell we do that. Not paying $18 million per for a guy that's having the worst year of his career, I love him but no. Averaging 8 points and 5 boards on 39% from the field and 32% from 3, you'd be okay sending out those guys for that? He's been terrible, posting a .474 TS% and a 10.3 PER.

"KCP not considered untouchable by the Pistons", per wiretap. No ****, Sherlock. He's a Dawg, so I'll give him some love, but that's a fairly below average observation.

The only reason why he's not considered "untouchable" is because they don't want to pay him the max this summer.

Ellington & McRoberts for a top 59 protected pick is a fine deal.

Cleans out salary for next year, gets us worst this year for a higher pick, and we still keep Babbit for jokes.

Why so much negativity towards Ellington he's a knockdown shooter and could be a good piece on a winning team. If we deal him I would have thought we could get a decent pick from a contender

I'm sure the Spurs would offer a second round pick for him. Most contenders wouldn't offer a first round pick for him sadly.

Nah bro he aint fat. Just big boned.

Jared Sullinger is not fat, he's just afraid of bruising, so he wears an ungodly amount of porpoise blubber under his skin.

Everybody knows this.

is that Orca blubber?

But players need to want to go there otherwise they just end up overspending on mediocre players.

Hypothetical: Would you take on Luol Deng and that cringe contract if it came accompanied by that first rounder the Lakers just got from the Lou Williams trade?

A proposed deal that looked like this: McHurt, Ellington, and and Babbit for Deng and Houston's first rounder (Currently slotted as the 27th pick). Is getting another first rounder is this upcoming draft, albeit a low first, worth taking on the Deng's money?

Personally I think that even top 15 picks can be pretty hit and miss. Have a look at who was taken over the last 15 years at pick 27.
