Truth,

I met UD back in the 90s not a clue who he was... just a real cool guy at a party.

Forget Basket Ball... anyone would root for him even if he was 5 foot 9 and worked in your office...

That dude DESERVES to be Mr. Miami

Aren't there two-way contracts with the D-League next year? That would help keep prospects around

I say keep Haslem. Every team needs dat one vet presence to help everyone hold onto the rope

I would rather him be on the coaching staff like Howard. We need his spot.

It's different. The leadership you display in the locker room as a player hits from a different angle to the other players who see you as one of them. As an assistant coach, the players know you are representing the coaching staff and the organization first which is ok, but the leadership hits home differently.

You may be right, but i think that he gets enough respect that it wont mater. He will still be there at their side. + he picks his moments when to speak.

How many spots do you see us haveing open this summer? Cause the only ones i dont wish to keep are Bob, (but i doubt he goes anywhere) Babbit, Haslem, & Bosh? I like White, & McGruder as projects.

if the heät géts a good FA and ôther good players then i ẃould not mind haslem staying as a mentor/benchwarmer. he is the embodiment of heat ĉulture. otherwise, i would want him to join ron rothstein at the analyst booth with jason jackson.

lets be honest here, haslem has a ton of heart but he cannot longer produce as a playa, fam

He can't expect anything more than the minimum.

Yea, he will be man 14-15 (depends if you put McBob above or below) for the minimum. This will be a 13 man roster.

At this point it's safe to say that he's NOT retiring. It's just a matter of the Heat deciding to keep him around.

He'll be on the roster, but i'd expect to see him in a suit a fair bit this year as he transitions to the coaching staff next season.

He's much better than a lot of the other scraps that usually round out the ends of benches.
