Is UD retiring?

The Heat's Facebook page posted a picture of him talking to the crowd with a quote.

The quote is as follows:

"In my 14 years here you guys have been the most consistent and the best fans in the world. It’s all a part of the HEAT culture."

Sounds like a retirement quote.

UD says he is not retiring. Book him for the 15th spot on the roster

I love the guy but we need his roster spot. His, Bosh's, Babbits, & Bobs.
Our 1st, two vets, & a project player. Or another vet. :dontknow:

I think U.D. should stay as the 15th man until he's 40 in homage to his number and then he should retire.

Aren't there two-way contracts with the D-League next year? That would help keep prospects around

I say keep Haslem. Every team needs dat one vet presence to help everyone hold onto the rope

Can't discount his contributions to team morale. I'm fine with him being 15th as long as he wants to be, or is able to.

He embodies everything the Heat strive to promote. Think he needs a statue somewhere, personally.

I would rather him be on the coaching staff like Howard. We need his spot.

Hope he does and moves into the coaching staff.

We're way too good of a developmental team to waste a roster spot on him. Just get a young player.

It's different. The leadership you display in the locker room as a player hits from a different angle to the other players who see you as one of them. As an assistant coach, the players know you are representing the coaching staff and the organization first which is ok, but the leadership hits home differently.

UD's jersey should be retired before Wade's and the rest of the Big 3

i would go further. Only true Heat lifers should have their jersey retired from here on out. So Big 3 would not be elligible, but UD would :D
