Winslow still has time...

Yup 25 seems to be the age where you know what youre getting offensively from these defensive wings. Just look at Butler in his 3rd season in the league (24 years old) he averaged 13/5/2 on 39/28/76 shooting. He broke out when he turned 25 and thats when he had his first season of averaging 20 points a game. Another thing to look at, Justise is still only 21, Butler was 22 his first NBA game.

Year 3 you do expect to start to see some improvements though, so I think around 12-13 ppg on say 43/31/70 shooting numbers would be a good sign of improvement from him.

I think he's going to struggle to get enough minutes, but with 24-30 mpg, those are reasonable numbers.

Don't think Rich is taking the starting spot and McGruder isn't taking minutes from either Winslow or Rich but you never know. That will be interesting

Competition is good for Winslow, and he needs the confidence of having beat out someone who is growing as a player in his own right. Think its a great coaching move.

I'm glad we aren't giving him a starting spot, he was gifted it last season and had a horrible shot selection. It was cringe to watch him release because you knew he'd miss. I hope the lack of injury/practice has him make a jump, Dion and Rich should be starting indefinitely in the mean time.

Winslow is going to get eaten alive by the haters. He's going to have a slow recovery and get shut on for it. One more year unfortunately. Love this kid.

Calling my shot... Justise makes a leap this season that helps push the team into a Top 3 seed.

Dragic / Waiters / Ellington / J. Johnson / Whiteside

Is probably my ideal starting 5, allows Johnson to start and Ellington gives the spacing.

T Johnson / J Rich / Winslow / Olynyk / Bam

As a bench squad isn't too bad.

I'm just excited because I know what this year is going to be for me and this team and it's something that people aren't really going to see coming,” Winslow said Monday on the eve of the start of Heat training camp at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. “When it hits them, when they see it mid-April, they will know it's for real.”

I really have high hopes on him, really. What he lacks is shooting, and he will only get better at it if he keeps practicing and shooting as much shots. He has a nice package of defence ,height, athleticism but shooting needs to be improved

Listening to him talk, he just sounds so damn confident you can't not believe in him.

Hope he can walk the walk, I'm expecting a really solid season from him in 17/18. Swiss army knife gonna be cutting fools.
