JJ / Winslow / White

not without guys taking unrealistic pay cuts, if we move tj and bob we can probably make it work. not sure we want to do that, tj deal next year not looking too crazy. i consider tj better than reddick who just got 23mil

Players will always be vastly overpaid in order to be signed for 1 year. Signing Reddick for 1:23 is better than 3:37

In level of value to the Heat how would you think the Heat rank Waiters, Tyler Johnson and Winslow? My guess is Waiters, Winslow then TJ.

Would you be ok with the Heat trading TJ or Winslow (or both) in order to make room to keep Waiters?

After meeting with Gordon Hayward in Miami on Saturday, the Heat on Sunday turned its attention to Dion Waiters.

Heat president Pat Riley and coach Erik Spoelstra headed west to Los Angeles to meet with Waiters, according to a source close to the Heat free agent guard.

Waiters also has drawn interest from Chicago, the Knicks and Sacramento, the Associated Press reported Saturday.

Waiters was expected to meet with several teams in California over the next day.

The Heat wants to convey to Waiters that it’s still very interested, even though it is in no position to make a large lucrative offer until Hayward decides among offers from the Heat, Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz.

I wouldn't be upset, I liked the old team. I just hope Hayward let's us know sooner rather than later whether or not he's serious about coming here.

Riley and Spo going west to meet Waiters starting to show a lack of optimism in Hayward.

Riley and Spo traveling to Cali for Waiters makes me feel like they have a gut feeling about Hayward not coming. Maybe. I love Waiters so all good. Bringing the band back together is good with me.

Riley and Spo going west to meet Waiters starting to show great optimist that they can sign Hayward, JJ, AND Dion.

How so? Going to need all our cap to sign JJ and Dion. Maybe lucky if they give up some to sign Ellington.

Mainly just teasing those who glean so much from so little information. Riley and Spo would be dumb not to meet with Waiters, even if they're 99.9% sure Hayward is coming. You don't abandon Plan B before Plan A is secured.

THIS!!

I feel this has to be the plan, has a Riley move written all over it.

Basically not picking up our options, dumping McBob and trading TJ should get us there right?

Not even close. And TJ not getting traded. Doubt anybody at that meeting yesterday gets dealt.
