But the only problem I see with it, is, it will slow Bam's growth.

In no way shape or form do i think this slow's Bam's growth. Olynyk is the most ideal Center to be placed right alongside Bam. It allows Bam to operate all to himself down low with the second unit while Olynyk camps out behind the three point line and setting top of the key screens.

I'm a fan, but the roster would work without him.

lol, Olynyk has his pros and cons. He's only 26 and 7' tall. He is also willing to play dirty at times (or so I have heard). His outside shot will def improve. I think he will be better than Birdman unless some injury or illness hits him. And I loved Anderson in his role for Miami.

It was a great pick up for Miami, in a very short time Kelly just got what Riley and Spo saw with him on the team.

Both parties ended up ahead.

My daughter watched the Cavs game live in Miami when Kelly outscored Lebron (funny about the poster earlier in this thread poking fun of his defence against Lebron).

I have been following KO since he played High School ball and he was gracious enough to organise an after game pass for her and a couple of friends (all visiting from Australia). Even did a quick video message to me with her thanking me for my support.

He may not be the most athletically gifted player on the court, but his B'Ball IQ, skill and perseverance makes him valuable to a team like the Heat who play a team game.

On top of that he is a credit to himself the way he represents his team and his country in the community.

Kelly played for Canada today in World cup qualifiers and led the team to a 8 point win over Brazil.

Boxscore:

Yes KO with 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 steals...

Not really. The signing didn't make sense at the time, and it still doesn't. He doesn't make us any better. He's making > $11,000,000 a year, tying up cap space for 4 years, and he doesn't really make a difference. The signing made even less sense coming right after we drafted Bam. Olynyk restricts his minutes and stunts his development.

The Olynyk signing was a classic case of money burning a hole in our pocket. And now partly because of that signing, our cap is tied in knots and we have no flexibility.

He's an OK player, but we weren't an OK player away from achieving anything.

You think CLE has another 4 years of contention? I've been thinking they have been too quiet this offseason, they don't even have a GM. I think Dan Gilbert has seen this act before with Lebron and knows he's on the brink of leaving.

Wolves fan who couldn't resist coming here. I like Olynyk a lot and think he is the perfect addition to Richardson in a Trade for Jimmy Butler. Of course we will need the FRP also. Butler is a sensational player. If you get him you won't regret sending KO and JR for him.

As a non Heat fan who would love to have KO on my team at his quite reasonable deal I don't see how you think his deal will haunt you. Send him with Richardson to the Wolves for Butler.

I like Olynyk but kind of agree with contract here. I'd like the cap space this season and next to keep us out of the tax. Thoughts?
