Would you trade Dragic and Whiteside for Kyrie?

Seems like major overkill for me. if anything, it would give us a smaller shot at upsetting Cleveland, especially if Whiteside is included in that package.

I would rather have Whiteside.

Kyrie is awesome for sure, but dude plays like Kobe did when Kobe had smush parker and kwame brown as teammates...except Kyrie has lebron and love as teammates. I don't know what situation he'd have to be in to make him happy while also making us a winning franchise.

hells no

I want to see this team get a second chance to finish what they start.

this team has hella chemistry, why bring a guy in who has issues sharing the ball with a HOF player who is KNOWN for being so unselfish he comes off as passive at times.

Not saying I would trade both for Kyrie but isn't that the Culture we parade about. If we can turn guys like Whiteside, JJ and Dion into respectable players why can't we do the same for a young star?

That's a fair point, but I don't think Kyrie has been tossed around and dismissed like those guys though and more importantly, he's already in a winning culture. Maybe we can do that better than Lebron and his groupies, but Kyrie was given everything on the Cavs and he's still unhappy because he wants to win on his terms and be the clear-cut best player. It's alil alarming

With that said, if we can somehow get Kyrie while keeping Whiteside, I'd be happy to give a team like that a shot.

Honestly I would bet it's more about Kyrie not wanting to wait and see and be apart of the Lebron circus next summer. We've seen Lebron go through this twice in 2010 and 2014, and he probably wants to be in control of his own ish rather than be caught blindsided.

I would and add in Richardson if it brought back Love and Kyrie.

Could field a team like this:

Sign a vet or start Bam
Love
J. Johnson
Waiters
Irving

Bench
Winslow
T. Johnson
KO
Ellington
Veteran C
McGruder
White
Haslem

It would have been great to sign Reed.

But if he has the foresight to see it now then he wouldn't be blindsided. It was already leaked that he wanted to be traded if Lebron left. Seems simple enough to play out the year with an easy road to the finals and then ask for a trade next off season when he actually has more leverage to decide where he can play (only 1 guaranteed year on his contract left at that point)

He just wants to leave because he doesn't think it's worth sacrificing his numbers and role anymore now that Cavs have a very little shot at beating the Warriors.

Probably. Wouldn't discount the Dan Gilbert factor either.

Dragic and Waiters is the only package I'd send them including Dragic. Frankly, I don't consider Irving to be that much of an upgrade over Dragic except for being significantly younger.

I think Irving wants to get out of Cleveland before James jumps ship again. The management structure of that team has been questioned repeatedly. If not for four number one picks over ten seasons or so, theyve done little else but pay the guys they've drafted. I dont blame Kyrie for wanting to bail, especially if he knows James in all his enigmatic glory is a season away from doing so himself.
